Aces Versus Kings Cooler

Level 23 : 6,000/12,000, 1,500 ante

Dzmitry Urbanovich raised to 20,000 from under the gun and Jason Koon three-bet to 55,000 from the cutoff. It folded back around to Urbanovich who went all in for 100,000 and Koon called.

Dzmitry Urbanovich: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}
Jason Koon: {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}

As hands were revealed, it seemed to be a cooler for Koon, but the board still had to run out. The flop came {9-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{q-Spades}. The turn was the {q-Clubs} meaning Koon needed one of only two kings to win the hand. And the river came the {k-Clubs}, flipping the cooler in his favor and eliminating Urbanovich.

Maue Doubles Through Mosboeck

Level 23 : 6,000/12,000, 1,500 ante

Leonard "LottoLarry" Maue opened to 24,000 from under the gun and was called by Mario Mosboeck in the big blind. On a flop of {j-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}, Mosboeck check-raised from 42,570 to 97,140 and Maue came along to see the {6-Hearts} turn. Mosboeck now bet 109,512 to earn a call and moved all-in for 742,282 on the {7-Diamonds} river.

Maue had 341,408 behind and called with {k-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for the second nuts. Mosboeck only had {8-Hearts}{8-Spades} for a set and suffered a big blow to the stack.

Addamo Falls to "RossCola"

Level 23 : 6,000/12,000, 1,500 ante

"RossCola" opened to 24,000 in middle position and it folded to Michael Addamo in the small blind who shoved for 270,000. It folded back to "RossCola" who put in the call.

Michael Addamo: {a-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}
"RossCola": {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

The {7-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{2-Hearts} flop was bleak for Addamo who now needed running cards for either a straight or a flush. The {8-Spades} left him drawing and the {j-Hearts} came on the meaningless river, busting Addamo.

Rolle Doubles Through Pärssinen

Level 23 : 6,000/12,000, 1,500 ante

One of the classic flips en route to a deep run emerged between Benjamin Rolle and Eelis Pärssinen. The former was the player at risk in a pot worth nearly half a million to create the following showdown:

Benjamin Rolle: {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
Eelis Pärssinen: {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}

The {a-Spades}{8-Spades}{6-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} board secured the double for Rolle. Pärssinen was left with fewer than three blinds, doubled once and busted. He was joined on the rail by the fellow Scandinavian poker pros Samuel Vousden and Niklas Astedt.

Negreanu Eliminated Before the Money

Level 24 : 7,000/14,000, 1,750 ante

Action folded to Pedro Garagnani in the small blind and he went all in for 224,010 chips. Daniel Negreanu called in the big blind and hands were revealed.

Daniel Negreanu: {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Pedro Garagnani: {j-Clubs}{10-Hearts}

Negreanu looked to be in great shape, but the flop came {3-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} to pair Garagnani's jack. The {4-Spades} fell on the turn and Negreanu needed a king on the river but it was the {5-Hearts}.

The hand left Negreanu with just a few big blinds and he got the rest of his stack in on the next hand in the small blind against Jason Koon in the big blind holding {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts} against the {q-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} of Koon. The board ran out {4-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{k-Spades} {3-Clubs} {6-Clubs}, eliminating Negreanu from the tournament in two unfortunate hands.
