Event #21: $25,000 Super High Roller Championship NLH, $5M Gtd
Day 1 Started
The 2021 GGPoker WSOP Online Bracelet Events are gearing up for the business end of the festival, which is slated to run for another two weeks. Certainly considered as one of the highlight events is Event #21: $25,000 Super High Roller Championship, which comes with a $5 million guarantee.
Two hours prior to the start, there were already 80 players registered to put the event more than halfway to meeting the ambitious target. Among the notable early sign-ups are the GGPoker ambassadors Daniel Negreanu and Felipe Ramos, Niklas Astedt, Galen Hall, Sam Greenwood, 2020 WSOP Online Main Event champion Stoyan Madanzhiev, Juan Pardo, Francisco Benitez, Isaac Haxton, Ole Schemion and Bert Stevens to name all but a few.
All participants receive 100,000 in chips and the levels on Day 1 will last 15 minutes each. During the late registration period, which lasts six hours in total, all players can purchase unlimited re-entries. Once the dust has settled, the race to the money will begin and the action will conclude when the nine-handed final table has been reached.
German poker pro Christian Rudolph can be considered as the defending champion of this event as he came out on top of a 407 entry strong field in Event #70: $25,000 NLH POKER PLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIP during the 2020 WSOP Online Bracelet Events on GGPoker. The same tournament back then featured a gigantic $10 million guarantee, while the lofty goal to meet has been cut in half for the 2021 edition.
The action gets underway at 5 pm GMT and the PokerNews team will provide updates from start to finish.
