Hellmuth Outflopped By Two-Pair

Level 14 : 400/800, 100 ante

Phil "Lumestackin" Hellmuth raised to 1,200 from the cutoff, Israel "Izzyboii_1" Veliz defended the big.

The flop came the {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{8-Clubs}. Hellmuth bet 1,650, Veliz raised to 4,350 and Hellmuth, who had Veliz covered, three-bet jammed which was quickly called.

Hellmuth had the {a-Clubs}{k-Spades} for top pair top kicker but was behind the {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} two-pair of Veliz.

The turn was the {j-Spades} and the river the {3-Diamonds} to give Veliz a double.

Lech's Fiesta Comes to an Abrupt End

Level 14 : 400/800, 100 ante
Michael Lech
Michael Lech

Robert "AdvPlay" Feathers raised from early position and Michael "miguelfiesta" Lech three-bet jammed for 4,695 next to act.

David "Quick32" Consolazio called from the hijack and action folded back around to Feathers who jammed over the top for 20,984.

Consolazio quickly folded and the two players were off to the races.

Michael "miguelfiesta" Lech: {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}
Robert "AdvPlay" Feathers: {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}

Lech didn't like what he saw as his pocket nines were completely crushed by the pocket tens of Feathers and the {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{7-Clubs} runout eliminated Lech from the tournament.

Alabama's All-Time Earnings Leader Shannon Shorr Looking For Some Diaper Money

Level 13 : 300/600, 75 ante
Shannon Shorr
Shannon Shorr

One of the most consistent crushers of the last fifteen years has been Shannon "Aulophobia" Shorr, who tops the Alabama all-time earnings list on Hendon Mob, with nearly $8.6 million in recording earnings. Shorr, who recently announced that he and his wife Joy are expecting their first child, is in action today and will be looking for more success on the virtual felt after some early success on the live felt this year.

Shorr, who had six cashes in last year's WSOP.com Online Bracelet series, but has yet to win a WSOP Gold Bracelet, found his first victory of the year in Event #28: $5,000 No Limit Hold'em Deep Stack, and for besting a 287-entrant field, Shorr added a healthy $296,535 to his bankroll. Shorr has also found a quartet of cashes in PokerGO branded events, including a fourth-place performance at the $10,000 NLH High Roller at The Venetian, good for $77,000.

With another full summer of bracelet events on the docket, will this be the year that Shorr breaks through for a WSOP Gold Bracelet to add another accolade to an already illustrious career? We'll be watching his status all summer long as "Aulophobia" shoots for the stars.

"tumtum" Carves a Small Double From Hellmuth

Level 13 : 300/600, 75 ante

"tumtum" raised to 2,000 from under the gun, "Phenom7" three-bet to 4,000 from early position. Phil "Lumestackin" Hellmuth four-bet all in for 33,175 from middle position. "tumtum" called with a short stack and "Phenom7" folded.

The cards were turned over and "tumtum" was in good shape for a double holding the {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts} vs the {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} of Hellmuth.

The board ran out the {q-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{2-Hearts} and Hellmuth sent a double across the table.

Kevin "Xpugn0" Eyster raised to 1,000 from middle position and was called by Kevin "GoneBananas" Garosshen on the button, along with Blake "ShamPainPopn" Whittington from the small blind.

Garosshen fired out 1,500 after the {3-Spades} turn and Eyster called bringing the {10-Diamonds} river. Garosshen jammed for 11,341 and Eyster quickly folded.

Whittington showed {9-Hearts}{3-Clubs} for a pair of nines but it was well behind Garosshen's two-pair {q-Clubs}{10-Spades}.
