A Day in the Life of the "Poker Brat" Phil Hellmuth

Level 28 : 14,000/28,000, 2,800 ante

Last week, PokerNews had the pleasure to follow around Phil Hellmuth for a day as he competed in the 2021 WSOP Online in quest of his record-extending 16th gold bracelet..

The "Poker Brat" showed us his home away from home at the ARIA Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas and puts in an online poker session on his tablet - not just in his suite, but also in the gym.

Level: 28

Blinds: 14,000/28,000

Ante: 2,800

Joseph "biueberry" Cheong Eliminated in 11th Place ($13,184)

Level 27 : 12,000/24,000, 2,400 ante
Joseph Cheong
Joseph Cheong

Joseph "biueberry" Cheong moved all in for 187,789 from the button, Christopher "Basile28" Basile re-jammed for a larger amount from the small blind and the big blind folded.

Cheong would be looking for an ace as he held the {a-Diamonds}{8-Spades} against the {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs} of Basile.

The board ran out {6-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{j-Spades}{4-Clubs} and Cheong was gone.

Wendy "NgucMammy" Nguyen Eliminated in 12th Place ($13,184)

Level 27 : 12,000/24,000, 2,400 ante

Jeremy "Chipchecka" Ausmus raised to 48,000 and then called the 170,400 three-bet Wendy "NgucMammy" Nguyen made from the big blind.

Once the {7-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} flop appeared, Nguyen jazmmed for 487,424 and Ausmus snap-called.

Jeremy "Chipchecka" Ausmus: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}
Wendy "NgucMammy" Nguyen: {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}

Ausmus was well ahead with his rockets and neither the {4-Spades} turn nor the {2-Spades} river changed a thing as Nguyen was eliminated in 12th place for $13,184.

John "sn1p3rjdubz" Duci Eliminated in 13th Place ($10,718)

Level 27 : 12,000/24,000, 2,400 ante

John "sn1p3rjdubz" Duci moved all in for 204,580 from the small blind over a raise, Zachary "Kings702" Grech re-jammed his larger stack and the initial raiser folded.

Duci was in trouble with the {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} vs the {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} of Grech.

The board would give no help to Duci as it ran out {2-Spades}{k-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{5-Spades} and Duci was eliminated.

Level: 27

Blinds: 12,000/24,000

Ante: 2,400

Felix "madenspauwke" Vandeput Eliminated in 14th Place; Matt "RubberFist" Stout Eliminated in 15th Place ($10,718)

Level 26 : 10,000/20,000, 2,000 ante
Matt Stout
Matt Stout

Matt "RubberFist" Stout open-jammed for 201,205 from the hijack and Jeremy "Chipchecka" Ausmus called from the big blind.

Matt "RubberFist" Stout: {q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Jeremy "Chipchecka" Ausmus: {a-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}

Stout was behind holding live cards but connected on the {q-Spades}{5-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} flop to take the lead.

The {4-Spades} turn paired Ausmus but it didn't change much as Stout was still ahead and looking good to score the double until the {a-Spades} appeared on the river to give Ausmus two-pair.

Stout was eliminated in 15th place while Felix "madenspauwke" Vandeput was eliminated in 14th place right after, both players took home $10,718.

The flop came the {k-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}. Gross led jammed for 110,856 and Sang called.

Gross had the {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs} for a draw while Sang had the {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}.
