Vo Doesn't Realize He Doubled

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Ross Obbink raised to 28,000 before Viet Vo three-bet all in for 120,000 next to act. Obbink called.

Viet Vo: {k-Spades}{q-Clubs}
Ross Obbink: {8-Spades}{6-Spades}

Obbink paired his six on a flop of {7-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{6-Clubs}, but the turn {a-Diamonds} and river {7-Spades} saw his hand counterfeited.

Vo thought he was eliminated and got up from his seat before the dealer pointed out he had the same two pair with a king kicker.

Le Makes Blind Call, Eliminates Blum

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Steve Blum moved all-in for just 40,000 with {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs} in late position. Action folded to Joseph Le in the big blind, who announced, "You know what, I call," before looking at his cards.

Le then flipped over {k-Hearts}{k-Spades} and the table collectively laughed. The board ran out {q-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{q-Spades} and Blum was eliminated.

Deeb Shoves The Turn

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Shaun Deeb
Shaun Deeb

On a board reading {6-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{k-Spades}, Shaun Deeb called a bet in the big blind of 25,000 from his opponent in the small blind.

The turn came a {6-Diamonds} and the small blind player bet 50,000. After a good 30-seconds of thinking, Deeb announced he was all in for an additional 120,000.

The small blind went into the tank for at least a minute, but ultimately decided on folding, giving Deeb the pot.

Kelly Eliminates Two

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Two short stacks moved all-in and the big stack, Steven Kelly, called with {j-Spades}{j-Hearts} and was up against {4-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} and {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}.

The best hand would hold up as the board ran out {5-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{8-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{7-Clubs}, bringing Kelly up to around 600,000.

Gity Busts to Zhang

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Tom Gity, a retired marketing executive in Florida making his first WSOP cash, just busted to Mark Zhang on a cruel turn card.

Gity raised to 36,000 from the cutoff and Zhang called from the small blind.

On the {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{4-Spades} flop, Zhang check-called a 57,000 bet from Gity.

The turn brought the {j-Spades}. Zhang again checked and snap-called when Gity moved all in.

Gity showed {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}, but Zhang had made trips with {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}.

The {3-Hearts} came on the river and Gity's tournament came to an end.

Youssefian Doubles The Hard Way

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Arin Youssefian called a shove in the big blind against the small blind's open shove and both hands were tabled.

Arin Youssefian: {5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}
Small Blind: {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}

The flop came down {q-Hearts}{10-Spades}{5-Spades} which gave Youssefian bottom set, but the turn of the {k-Hearts} gave his opponent the nut straight as well as a royal flush draw.

The only outs Youssefian had were the board pairing outs and luckily for him, the river came a {q-Clubs} and he made fives full of queens to get the double.

Deeb Busts Three in One Hand

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Shaun Deeb
Shaun Deeb

On the button with {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}, Shaun Deeb snap-called all-in bets from three short stacks, one with about 30,000, another with 50,000, and a third with 110,000. The hands he was up against were {a-Spades}{j-Clubs}, {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}, and {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}.

The board ran out favorable for the 2018 WSOP Player of the Year as it came {5-Spades}{8-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{q-Clubs} and he eliminated three players in one hand. Deeb is now hovering around the 500,000-chip mark.

Degroot Ousts Slucker

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Ronald Slucker was getting up and leaving the tournament area and the tablemates were able to fill in some details of the bustout.

Slucker had {8-}{7-} which made a straight on a board reading {j-}{10-}{10-}{9-}{x-} but Michael Degroot had a full house with pocket jacks and took Slucker's stack and his bounty chip.
