Gavin Catches a Bluff

Level 3 : 200/300, 300 ante

With roughly 6,000 in the middle the board read {j-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{6-Spades}{2-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and Lexy Gavin checked to her opponent who fired in a bet of 1,700. Lexy thought it over for about five seconds before throwing in the chips to call.

Gavin's opponent tabled the {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for a missed straight draw and Gavin tabled {7-Hearts}{6-Hearts} to take down the pot with her pair of sixes.

Del Vecchio Doubles After Some Banter

Level 3 : 200/300, 300 ante

Mike Del Vecchio put in a raise under the gun to 600 and the action folded around to the button and he put in a three-bet to 1,800. The blinds got out of the way and Del Vecchio moved all-in for his entire stack of 5,100.

The player on the button went into the tank and starting chatting.

"Do you have a pair?" the button asked Del Vecchio.

"I might. Do you?" replied Del Vecchio.

The button responded for the last time, "I do have a pair," before throwing in the chips to call.

Mike Del Vecchio: {7-Spades}{7-Clubs}
Button: {6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}

Del Vecchio did in fact have a pair and it was just big enough to be ahead of the opponent. The board ran out {k-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{5-Hearts} for Del Vecchio's pocket seven's to secure the double up.
