Day 3 of Event #17: $1,500 Millionaire Maker witnessed a total of 170 players entered out of a field of 5,330 across two starting flights whittled down to a mere 20 players, all looking to win the gold bracelet and a cool $1,000,000 in cash that awaits the eventual winner of this event.

Philip Verel from Panama City, Florida, bagged 12,665,000 in chips and is the chip leader going into Day 4. Verel is a complete unknown at the WSOP, he doesn’t even have a recorded cash to be found. He began the day with just a dozen big blinds before managing to spin it up to end the day with the chip lead.

A few former bracelet winners that move on to Day 4 include Michael Gathy (9,800,000), Luis Zedan (5,835,000,) and Daniel Lazrus (11,795,000).

As the last five minutes of play was winding down, things were heating up on table 439.

With 1,200,000 already in the pot on the {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{10-Spades}{4-Spades} river, Thomas Eychenne bet 600,000 before Stephen Song moved all-in for 4,000,000 more.

Thomas Eychenne went deep into the tank and studied his opponent.

"I don't see it," said Eychenne. " I don't believe you."

Eychenne continued to think while the tournament clock ran down to the final three minutes of the night.

"Ahh it's tough," he said. "But I don't believe you, ya know?"

Song sat quietly until finally, Eychenne decided on a call.

Song turned over {10-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} for trip tens and a frustrated Eychenne mucked and walked away as Day 4 comes to an end.

Verel Shoves Out Ronconi

Level 30 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante

Action was picked up on the turn with the board reading {3-Spades}{2-Spades}{10-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}. Under the gun, Darryl Ronconi bet 1,600,000 into a pot of around the same size. Philip Verel was in the big blind and shoved all in for about 6,750,000.

Ronconi went into the tank and looked pained by the decision before folding his hand and sending a nice boost in chips to Verel.

Faraz Jaka

From the cutoff, Daniel Lazrus raised to 400,000. Faraz Jaka jammed for 1,470,000 from the button. It folded back around to Lazrus who called after confirming the count.

Jaka was at risk but ahead with the {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades} against the {8-Hearts}{6-Hearts} of Lazrus.

The flop came the {2-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{3-Clubs}. The turn was the {k-Diamonds} but the river spelled doom for Jaka as the {4-Spades} binked off to give Lazrus the straight in the end.

Cardoso gathered in his latest double up to move himself back up a healthy amount after he had been as low as 300,000 (1.5 big blinds) not very long ago following a big hit against Todd Saffron.
