Gary Benson Eliminated in 8th Place ($11,364)

Level 23 : 40,000/80,000, 0 ante
Gary Benson
Gary Benson

A-5 Triple Draw

The game type switched and Hal Rotholz raised for Gary Benson to defend the big blind. Vladimir Peck then glanced at the game plaque and so did Benson, realising that it was no longer 2-7 Triple Draw. Benson discarded three cards and Rotholz then took two. Benson check-called a bet and discarded two while Rotholz took one new card.

Benson once more check-called a bet and had 70,000 behind. Both discarded one card and Benson check-folded after he had paired up.

One hand later, Benson jammed from the small blind and Vladimir Peck called. Benson discarded three, two and one in that order while Peck discarded one each, murmuring "I have no idea if I am supposed to do that."

Peck revealed the {7-}{5-}{3-}{a-} and made a {10-} with the final card. Benson was sweating a {5-}{2-}{a-} draw and found a wheel draw with his first {3-} but then paired the {2-} to bust in 8th place.
