Katz Gets Quartered

Level 20

Omaha Hi-Lo

Ben Yu had been the preflop aggressor and found two callers in the shape of short-stacked DJ Buckley and Cary Katz out of the blinds. Both had very few chips behind to the {10-Hearts}{6-Spades}{4-Clubs}{k-Spades}{a-Clubs} river on which Buckley checked. Katz jammed for 35,000 and Yu called, as did Buckley.

Katz revealed {9-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{2-Spades} to get a quarter of the pot for the low, as Yu's {j-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{2-Hearts} for the same low earned the other quarter. Buckley's {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} for two pair earned the high portion of the pot.

Glaser Adds a Few More Chips to His Stack

Level 20

Stud Hi-Lo

Philip Sternheimer: {x-}{x-}/{10-Spades}{2-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{6-Hearts}/{x-}
Benny Glaser: {x-}{x-}/{2-Spades}{8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}/{x-}

The action was on Sternheimer on seventh street as he faced a bet from Glaser. Sternheimer eventually called and Glaser tabled {a-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{4-Hearts} for two pair eights and fours alongside an eight low to scoop the pot.

Sternheimer Beats Glaser in Showdown

Level 20

Limit Hold'em

On the heads-up turn of {9-Spades}{7-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{j-Spades}, Philip Sternheimer check-called against Benny Glaser and they then checked the {j-Hearts} on the river. Sternheimer revealed the {k-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} for a busted double gutshot and king-high, which ended up winning the pot.

Bronshtein Eliminated on the Bubble

Level 20
Yuval Bronshtein
Yuval Bronshtein

Stud Hi-Lo

Yuval Bronshtein: {x-}{x-} / {q-Spades}{8-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds} / {x-}
Ben Yu: {x-}{x-} / {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} / {x-}

Before hand for hand play could even start, the money bubble burst. The up and down cards of Yuval Bronshtein were all but mucked as he check-called for almost all of his chips it throughout fifth and sixth street against Ben Yu with 5,000 behind.

He then check-called all-in and Yu revealed {10-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{3-Spades} for a wheel. Unimproved with his down cards, Bronshtein mucked and that let the bubble burst without any hand-for-hand play.

Bohlman Eliminated Prior to the Bubble

Level 19

Stud Hi-Lo

Scott Bohlman: {x-}{x-} / {2-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{a-Spades}{j-Spades} / {4-Hearts}
Jesse Klein: {x-}{x-} / {4-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} / {x-}
Philip Sternheimer: {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts} / {j-Hearts}{7-Spades}{10-Hearts}{a-Hearts} / {2-Spades}

Scott Bohlman was all-in for the last 10,000 chips and Jesse Klein raised, Philip Sternheimer three-bet and Klein called. Sternheimer bet fourth and fifth, then check-called sixth and seventh against Klein. He was shown {q-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{5-} for a straight and Bohlman briefly showed his cards, then mucked. Sternheimer showed kings in the hole that didn't improve.

Updated Chip Counts

A Pair Of Threes Is Good for Glantz

Level 19

Seven Card Stud

Phil Hellmuth: {x-}{x-} / {2-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{3-Clubs} / {x-}
Matt Glantz: {x-}{x-} / {6-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{10-Hearts}{4-Clubs} / {x-}

Phil Hellmuth tangled with Matt Glantz and bet sixth and seventh street. Glantz mulled over his decision for a bit and then made the call with the words "have deuces one time." Sure enough, Hellmuth exposed only the {2-Clubs} and Glantz flipped over {k-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} for a pair of treys to win the pot.

Putting some more salt in the wound, Glantz followed that up with "you are playing with a Stud player" and a big grin on the face.

Razz

David Benyamine: {x-}{x-}/{5-Spades}{5-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}/{x-}
Matt Glantz: {x-}{x-}/{a-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{j-Clubs}/{x-}

Benyamine and Glantz headed to fourth street heads-up. Glantz bet fourth, fifth, and sixth street, and Benyamine called him down.

Seventh street saw Glantz slow down and check. Benyamine checked back and tabled {10-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} for a ten low, and was awarded the pot.

Hellmuth "Wins This One"

Level 19

Seven Card Stud

Phil Hellmuth: {a-Spades}{3-Hearts} / {a-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{6-Clubs}
Ben Yu: {x-}{x-} / {5-Diamonds} fold
Cary Katz: {x-}{x-} / {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{8-Spades} fold

Ben Yu completed with a five and Phil Hellmuth raised, Cary Katz called. While Yu was pondering about his decision, Hellmuth said "I'll take this one." Yu then folded and Katz bet his pair of sevens on fourth, Hellmuth called.

Katz checked fifth and Hellmuth bet to force a fold. "I'd fold aces against you but not aces and treys," Hellmuth admitted in table chat and flipped over ace-try for two pair.
