Welcome back for Day 2 of Event #28: $1,000 Pot-Limit Omaha. Just 59 players out of a starting field of 1,069 are still in the hunt for the WSOP gold bracelet and the $166,461 top prize when play resumes at 12 p.m. PST.

Leading the way by a significant margin is Ryan Gibson, who turned his 20,000 starting stack into 1,940,000 over the course of 11 hours of play on Day 1. Gibson leads second-place Alexander Yen by more than 600,000, and has nearly double the stack of third-place Jonathan Therme (1,033,000).

In fifth place to start the day is Michael Perrone with 750,000. Perrone has already won a bracelet in 2021, taking down Event #10: $1,000 Super Turbo Bounty No-Limit Hold'em 10 days ago. Gabe Ramos was also at that final table and begins Day 2 in ninth chip position with 550,000. Bracelet winners Georgios Sotiropoulos (474,000) and Joseph Cheong (454,000) are also still alive.
