Micon Doubles Through Weisman

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Bryan Micon
Bryan Micon

"Wait until it's my turn, we'll sweat together," small blind Dylan Weisman told the short-stacked Bryan Micon in the big blind.

Action folded to Weisman and he raised to 150,000. Micon shoved for his last 240,000, and Weisman called.

Bryan Micon: {k-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{5-Hearts}
Dylan Weisman: {7-Spades}{q-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}

"That's a real poker hand," Weisman told Micon. Weisman took the lead when the {q-Spades}{4-Hearts}{8-Spades} flop gave him a pair of queens, but Micon caught {10-Clubs}{9-Spades} on the turn and river to make a straight and double up.

Jonathan Therme Eliminated in 13th Place ($8,598)

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Jonathan Therme
Jonathan Therme

Jonathan Therme and Alexander Yen got their chips in the middle on a board of {k-Spades}{j-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}. Therme had {j-}{10-}{9-}{7-} with two spades for two pair, jacks and nines, with a missed flush draw. Yen, though, had made a better two pair, kings and sevens, with {a-}{k-}{7-}{3-} to win the pot and knock out Therme in 13th place.

Ryan Gibson Eliminated in 14th Place ($6,969)

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Ryan Gibson
Ryan Gibson

Ryan Gibson, Alexander Yen, and Chase Fujita each put in 100,000 before the flop. When the flop came {2-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{7-Spades}, Gibson bet 300,000, Yen folded, but Fujita went into the tank.

Eventually, Fujita splashed in the chips to call thinking Gibson was all in. The floor was called over and it was ruled the all-in action would stand.

Gibson had {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} for a pair of tens and a gutshot but was crushed by the {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}{3-Hearts}{j-Spades} of Fujita. The board ran out {2-Spades}{2-Clubs}, and Gibson, who began the day with a massive chip lead, was eliminated in 14th place.

Gabe Ramos moved his short-stack all in and was called by Youness Barakat. Ramos had {a-}{k-}{6-}{5-} and hit top pair on the flop of {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}, but Barakat had {10-}{9-} to make trip tens.

"How does that happen," Ramos said as he and his Doberman Ozy made their exit in 15th place.

Jason Stockfish
Jason Stockfish

Gabe Ramos raised to 75,000 from under the gun, Ryan Gibson called from the button, and Jason Stockfish defended his big blind.

Action checked to Gibson on the {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{k-Clubs} flop, and he bet 190,000. Stockfish called and Ramos folded. On the {4-Clubs} turn, Gibson bet enough to put Stockfish all in and he called for his tournament life.

Stockfish had {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} for flush and straight draws, while Gibson was also drawing with {6-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{3-Hearts}.

The {6-Spades} on the river completed Gibson's straight, eliminating Stockfish in 17th.

Players are now redrawing for the final two tables.

Ryan Gibson: {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{4-Hearts}
Michael Perrone: {k-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{j-Spades}

Everett Carlton Eliminated in 20th Place ($5,726)

Everett Carlton
Everett Carlton

With the board showing {a-Spades}{7-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{k-Spades} on the turn, big blind Craig Chait checked to Everett Carlton on the button who bet. Chait then raised to 175,000 and Carlton called, leaving himself less than 200,000 behind.

On the {j-Spades} river, Chait put out a stack of chips and Carlton called all in. Chait turned over {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{2-Spades} for a full house, aces over kings, and Carlton showed an ace with a lower kicker before making his exit.
