The Eliminations Are Starting to Pile Up

Level 6 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

Maxx Coleman has been eliminated and Charles Sinn followed shortly after in a Big O Hi-Lo hand against Brian Rast. The cards and board were already scrambled and Sinn left the tournament area with a rather confused "how do you even scoop that one, I guess that's how you become a pro".

Johnson in the Lead; Chips Up Further

Level 6 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

Stud Hi-Lo

Marco Johnson: {x-}{x-} / {7-Clubs}{8-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} / {x-}
Roland Israelashvili: {x-}{x-} / {10-Clubs}{q-Spades}{7-Spades}{10-Spades} / {x-}
George Alexander: {x-}{x-} / {5-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{3-Diamonds} / {x-}

On sixth street the action was capped three ways and Marco Johnson then bet on seventh and Roland Israelashvili folded, George Alexander raised and Johnson called. Alexander tabled the {4-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs} for a wheel for the low but Johnson earned the high pot with {8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} for eights full of sevens.

Johnson appears to be the biggest stack in the room by some margin right now.

In and Out

Level 6 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

The flow of new entries may have slowed down but there are still familiar faces entering every once in a while. Daniel Negreanu, Chad Eveslage and Mike Gorodinsky all entered while David Prociak and Peter Neff are nowhere to be found anymore.

Guagenti In the Mix

Level 6 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

Stud Hi-Lo

Nick Guagenti: {x-}{x-} / {5-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{7-Spades} / {x-}
Mike Wattel: {x-}{x-} / {3-Spades}{k-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} / {x-}

Nick Guagenti entered the tournament not long ago and chipped up slightly. He then took on Mike Wattel in a hand just now and made a low with the {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{5-Spades} but it was only good for half the pot as the high hand, as Wattel's {8-Spades}{5-Hearts}{2-Clubs} made the superior low. Wattel remains among the shorter stacks in the event.

Rotholz Eliminated by Mizrachi

Level 6 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

Pot-Limit 2-7 Triple Draw

Hal Rotholz was just seen on his way out of the tournament area. According to Kevin Gerhart, Rotholz started the hand with around 20,000 in chips and ended up with a {q-}{8-}{5-}{3-}{2-}. Robert Mizrachi had that beat with a {10-}{7-}{4-}{3-}{2-} and that sent Rotholz to the rail.

Badeucey

The drawing action was already completed in three-way action and the bet of Bariscan Betil was called two ways. He tabled the {7-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{a-Spades} for a Seven-Dugi and the {4-Hearts} for a seven-five low to earn the entire pot as he picked up urgently needed chips.

More for Richey

Level 6 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

Pot-Limit 2-7 Triple Draw

Four ways to the first draw, Yuval Bronshtein and Adam Friedman then got out of the way when Brett Richey bet 3,000 and Michael Saltzburg called. Richey patted and Saltzburg took one card, which led to a bet worth 8,000 by the former and the fold of Saltzburg.
