Dramatic Hand For Daterao

Level 35 : 500,000/1,000,000, 1,000,000 ante
Jugal Daterao
Jugal Daterao

Anthony Cass moved all-in from early position for 16,700,000. The action folded to Jugal Daterao in the small blind, who did not see that there was a player all-in.

Daterao put 500,000 in the pot and verbalized a call thinking that he was completing the big blind of 1,000,000. At that moment, he had realized that there was a player all-in and he insisted that if had known he would have folded. The dealer then called the floor for a ruling.

The floormen gave Daterao an opportunity to explain himself. They then discussed the situation and ruled that Daterao must call the all-in bet of Cass. Daterao was not happy with the ruling.

Anthony Cass: {3-Hearts}{3-Clubs}
Jugal Daterao: {10-Diamonds}{6-Spades}

The board ran out {q-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{q-Spades}{8-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}. The pocket threes of Cass held and he doubled through Daterao.
