Event #42: $1,500 Razz

Day 1 Started

Event #42: $1,500 Razz Begins at 3 p.m. PST

Low cards will be everyone's goal when Event #42: $1,500 Razz kicks off at 3 p.m. PST.

Razz is a similar game to Seven Card Stud, with one exception: the lower the cards, the better the hand. The best hand in Razz is a wheel, ace to five. Flushes and straights don't count against a player's hand.

This event has been on the WSOP schedule since 2014 when Ted Forrest defeated Phil Hellmuth heads-up. Other past champions include Max Pescatori and Rep Porter. In 2019, Kevin Gerhart prevailed over a field of 363 to win $119,054 and his first of two career WSOP bracelets. Australia's Robert Campbell made the final table on his way to earning WSOP Player of the Year honors.

PokerNews will be here providing all the live updates and chip counts throughout the day and the tournament as a player will join Gerhart, Pescatori, Porter, and Forrest as a WSOP Razz champion.
