Le Loses Some to Sandrock; Wins It Back

Level 26 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Tommy Le
Tommy Le

Chris Sandrock raised from under the gun and was called by Tommy Le on the button. The {6-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{4-Spades} flop was checked and Sandrock then bet the {7-Hearts} turn and {j-Clubs} river for 200,000 each. Le called and couldn't beat the {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} of Sandrock.

Artem Maksimov then raised to 200,000 and Le called in the cutoff, Sandrock filled up out of the big blind. Three ways to the {j-Spades}{9-Clubs}{8-Clubs} flop, it checked to Le and he bet 400,000 to win the pot uncontested.

Sandrock Chipping Back Up

Level 26 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Chris Sandrock has recovered some chips with a streak of aggression over the last four hands. Sandrock has taken chips back from each opponent after bets on the flop have been good enough to earn folds on every hand and regain over one million chips without showdown.

Huge All-In and a Call!

Level 26 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Chris Sandrock limped in middle position and got raised to 360,000 by Artem Maksimov on the button. Sandrock called.

An enticing flop of {q-Spades}{j-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} fell, and Sandrock checked to Maksimov. The Russian obliged with a bet of 350,000, and was quickly check-raised the size of the pot (1,970,000) by Sandrock. Maximov replied with an all-in, Sandrock called, and the biggest pot of the tournament was underway, with Sandrock potentially at risk.

Chris Sandrock: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{3-Hearts}
Artem Maksimov: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}{k-Hearts}{j-Spades}

Each player held the nuts with a Broadway straight, so backdoors would have to bring any pain.

The {8-Diamonds} came on the turn and the {10-Hearts} on the river, negating any pain as the players chopped the pot.

Tommy Le opened the action with a raise to 150,000 and was called by Chris Sandrock in the small blind. Jordan Spurlin then raised the pot to 600,000 in the big blind and Le folded, while Sandrock quickly called.

"I am going to check-raise you," Sandrock said and Artem Maksimov grinned "Chris, you are the best."

On a flop of {9-Spades}{5-Clubs}{3-Spades}, Sandrock checked and Spurlin jammed for 1,265,000.

"Alright, I am going to take a shot at it," Sandrock said within 15 seconds and splashed in chips for a call.

Chris Sandrock: {9-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{7-Spades}{4-Spades}

Sandrock had a ton of equity with his top pair, gutshot and spade flush draw. However, the {2-Diamonds} turn and {j-Hearts} river both bricked to let Spurlin double.

Sandrock Applies the Pressure

Level 25 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

After four-way action preflop, the action checked around on the {10-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{5-Spades} flop. Eli Elezra led out from the small blind on the {a-Hearts} turn, but was quickly raised by Chris Sandrock. The other two players folded and Elezra took a moment before mucking two of his cards. He flashed {a-}{7-} for two pair as Sandrock raked in the chips.

Maksimov Dodges Disaster and Claims Big Pot

Level 25 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Tommy Le raised in early position to 150,000 and got calls from Chris Sandrock on the button and Artem Maksimov in the big blind.

The flop came {j-Spades}{k-Spades}{5-Diamonds}, and action was checked to Sandrock who bet 300,000. Maksimov called and Le folded.

The turn brought the {k-Hearts}, and again Maksimov checked to Sandrock, who kept betting, this time for 475,000. Again, Maksimov called.

On the river {8-Clubs}, Maksimov checked one more time, but this time, Sandrock shut it down and checked.

"Full house", said Maksimov as he showed {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and dragged the healthy pot.

"Royal flush draw, and a wrap", said Sandrock, suggesting he held the {q-Spades}{10-Spades} and missed.

Arthur Morris Eliminated in 7th Place ($93,406)

Level 25 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Tommy Le raised to 150,000 and was called only by Arthur Morris on the button. On a flop of {10-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}, Le bet 225,000 and Morris then jammed for 1,080,000 for Le to snap-call.

Arthur Morris: {8-Spades}{7-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{5-Spades}
Tommy Le: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

"I have two pair and an open-ender again," Morris announced before he rolled over the cards. He was ahead against the aces and nut flush draw but the {10-Spades} turn counterfeited his two pair. With plenty of outs available, Morris then also bricked the {q-Hearts} river and departed in 7th place for $93,406.

This has been the highest score on the live poker circuit, which he had previously mentioned with seven players remaining.

Sandrock Gets Three Streets From Ausmus

Level 25 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Jeremy Ausmus raised on the button and saw a called from Chris Sandrock in the big blind. Sandrock then led out for 275,000 on the {j-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} flop and Ausmus called. Sandrock led again on the turn {4-Spades} for 700,000 and Ausmus took a moment before sliding in the call. The {4-Hearts} river completed the board, and Sandrock bet 700,000 again. Ausmus took some more time before calling, and Sandrock turned over {k-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{7-Spades}{4-Clubs} for a full house. Ausmus mucked his cards, but later told the table he folded {j-}{7-}.

Elezra Takes Another Pot

Level 25 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Eli Elezra raised to 200,000 and Arthur Morris as the single big blind came along.

"I will only ask you for the stack after the flop, I hate when people do it preflop," Elezra said. The flop brought {k-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} and Morris check-folded to a bet. Elezra exposed the {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} for a gutshot wheel draw and nut flush draw.
