Lemma Eliminates Nastasa

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

The action was completed pre-flop and it was Steve Lemma who held {a-Spades}{a-Hearts} and Gabriel Nastasa with {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades} both all-in and at risk versus Omer Gabay who held {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}.

The dealer spread a flop of {4-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} and Lemma remained in the lead.

The turn card was the {q-Clubs} and changed nothing.

The river was the {6-Diamonds} and that meant that Lemma and his aces took down the pot, which in turn eliminated Nastasa and left Gabay with 760,000 chips.

This pot catapulted Lemma to 2,900,000 million chips.

Mezrich Carves From Blais

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

There was a three-way preflop all-in in progress as Frank Lin was at risk along with Ari Mezrich while William Blais had the chance to take out both,

Frank Lin: {a-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
Ari Mezrich: {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}
William Blais: {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}

The flop came {7-Hearts}{q-Spades}{6-Clubs} to give Mezrich top set and put him in firm control.

The turn was the {j-Hearts} to give Lin some hope of a straight but the river was the {5-Spades} and Mezrich took down the big pot, Lin was eliminated and Blais dropped some from his large stack.

Davis Eliminates Yu

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

The action was discovered with Xiao Yu who raised all-in preflop and was called by Kevin Davis.

It was Yu who held {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} versus the {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs} held by Davis.

The flop was {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} and Davis took the lead with a pair of tens.

The turn card was the {a-Spades} and that locked it up for Davis who improved to a broadway straight, which left Yu drawing dead.

The meaningless river card was the {6-Spades} and that officially eliminated Yu from the tournament.

Blais Sends Lin's Aces On the Fritz

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
William Blais
William Blais

In a hand retold to PokerNews by Frank Lin, according to him he three-bet to 335,000 preflop over the 120,000 raise by William Blais.

The flop came {7-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}. Lin bet 305,000, Blais raised all in for about 1,400,000 and Lin called.

Lin had the {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} but would need to fade the {6-Clubs}{5-Clubs} of Blais.

The turn was the {k-Clubs} to keep Lin ahead but the river came the {3-Hearts} to river a straight for Blais and crack the aces of Lin as he was left with crumbs and Blais zoomed toward the top of the counts.
