Level 10 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Around half an hour remains until the conclusion of Day 1 and the field is slowly shrinking. Joni Jouhkimainen

With 42,000 chips in the middle and the flop reading {j-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{4-Clubs}, Aaron Wallace had a bet of 15,000 in front of him on the button. Joni Jouhkimainen check-raised to 87,000 and Wallace dipped into the tank for at least two minutes before finally folding.

On the next hand, Matthew Wantman opened to 6,000 from under the gun and was called by Adam Hendrix, the small blind, and Jouhkimainen in the big blind. The flop fell {j-Clubs}{4-Spades}{3-Hearts} and Jouhkimainen led out with a bet of 16,000. All three players mucked and Jouhkimainen scooped another pot.

Faroni Raises The Flop

Level 10 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Four ways to the {j-Hearts}{7-Spades}{4-Spades} flop, Chris Sandrock led for 15,000 out of the small blind. Dash Dudley folded out of the big blind and Yuval Bronshtein called.

"Can I see your stack?" Abraham Faroni asked and Sandrock quickly moved his hand away to reveal the chips he had behind. Faroni then raised to 85,000 and Sandrock folded. Bronshtein came to the same conclusion and folded as well.

Almost Maxx Value for Deeb

Level 10 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

On a completed board of {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} with 76,000 in the middle, Shaun Deeb bet 75,000 out of the big blind. Maxx Coleman reluctantly called and Deeb immediately said "I got it" before revealing his {10-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for the jack-high straight. Coleman mucked and dropped to fewer than one third of the starting stack.

Triple Up for Andrejevic Against Pärssinen and Le

Level 10 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Andjelko Andrejevic
Andjelko Andrejevic

On a flop of {10-Spades}{7-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}, Eelis Pärssinen bet 44,000 and Andjelko Andrejevic moved all-in for 84,500. Tommy Le then moved all-in over the top and Pärssinen called all-in as the second-biggest stack involved.

Andjelko Andrejevic: {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}
Eelis Pärssinen: {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{7-Diamonds}
Tommy Le: {10-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{6-Hearts}

All players had a wrap to go with their made pairs and Andrejevic spiked the {3-Clubs} turn to leap into the lead. He remained there on the {5-Hearts} river to triple up while Pärssinen then doubled his remaining 182,000 through Le after paying off Andrejevic.

Weisman Stacks One

Level 10 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

One player was seen getting up from his seat and Dylan Weisman relayed the information. Weisman raised to 5,000 from middle position and picked up two callers. The flop came {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{3-Clubs} and the action checked to Weisman who continued for 5,000. Both of his opponents called.

The turn brought the {4-Clubs} and Weisman fired a pot-sized bet of 35,000. His opponent check-raised to 140,000 and Weisman re-raised, putting his opponent at risk for his last 175,000 chips.

Weisman held an ace-high flush while his opponent showed a queen-high flush with a ten in his hand. The {4-Clubs} completed the board and Weisman's ace-high flush held up to win the pot.

George Wolff

Will Jaffe got to the river out of position against George Wolff on a board reading {j-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{6-Hearts}{3-Spades} with about 20,000 in the middle.

Jaffe led out with a bet of 17,000 and Wolff mulled his options over before tossing in a call.

Jaffe showed {5-Clubs}{5-}{x-}{x-} but it was no good against the {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{10-Spades}{10-Clubs} of Wolff.

Barbero Takes From Yu

Level 9 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Ben Yu bet the {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{j-Spades} turn for 21,000 and Nacho Barbero called in the hijack. Yu opted to check the {a-Clubs} on the river and Nacho eventually checked behind with the words "check and I win."

Yu replied with a "sounds about right" and flipped over {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}. Barbero indeed had that beat with {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}{8-Clubs}{6-Spades} for tens full of aces to win the pot.

Cha and Chartier Chop

Level 9 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Daniel Negreanu raised to 5,000 and was called five ways for the action on the {j-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} flop to check all the way to Sam Chartier on the button. The Canadian bet 23,000 and Pj Cha jammed in the small blind, forcing out everyone but Cartier who snap-called.

Pj Cha: {q-Spades}{9-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{3-Hearts}
Sam Chartier: {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{9-Spades}

Chartier was freerolling with the superior straight draw but the {5-Clubs} turn and {10-Spades} river ensured the chop.
