Jamasi Doubles Through Benson

Level 14 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Farhad Jamasi
Farhad Jamasi

Dmitrii Perfilev tangled with Rok Gostisa, who checked the {7-Spades}{5-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop and then folded to a pot-sized bet worth 87,000 by Perfilev.

One hand later, the flop showed {k-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} and William Benson check-jammed in the small blind following a pot-sized bet of Farhad Jamasi on the button. Jamasi quickly called and the cards were flipped over.

Farhad Jamasi: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{10-Spades}
William Benson: {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{8-Hearts}

The {3-Spades} turn and the {7-Clubs} river kept Jamasi in contention and he doubled for 108,000 to leave Benson short.

Zimnik Flops Trips Against Kornuth

Level 14 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Nathan Zimnik and Chance Kornuth went heads-up to a flop of {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}. Zimnik checked to Kornuth who bet 19,000 and Zimnik called.

The turn brought the {3-Spades} and Zimnik checked-called another bet of 63,000 from Kornuth. The {5-Clubs} completed the board and both players checked this time. Zimnik turned over {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} for trip jacks and Kornuth mucked.

Kurtzman Above a Million

Level 14 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Eric Kurtzman
Eric Kurtzman

Eric Kurtzman raised to 16,000 and Paul Volpe three-bet the pot to 54,000 with slightly more than that behind. Kurtzman called and the {8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} flop brought the shove by Volpe and the snap-call by Kurtzman.

Paul Volpe: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{a-Spades}{5-Spades}
Eric Kurtzman: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{j-Spades}{7-Diamonds}

The nut flush draw of Kurtzman instantly hit on the {q-Diamonds} turn to leave Volpe drawing dead and made the {8-Spades} river a formality.

Kurtzman jumped to more than 1.3 million and Volpe hit the rail, which has also been the case for Adam Hendrix and Andjelko Andrejevic as well.

Karakitukov Escapes From Elimination

Level 14 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Ben Diebold raised to 13,000 and Veselin Karakitukov three-bet the pot to 47,000, which Diebold called. On a flop of {6-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{2-Hearts}, Diebold checked and Karakitukov jammed for the 41,000 he had behind. Diebold double-checked his cards and then called instantly.

Veselin Karakitukov: {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}
Ben Diebold: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{7-Spades}{3-Spades}

The {2-Diamonds} turn and {k-Diamonds} river were both blanks and Karakitukov doubled.

"How do I not get there, flush draw and double gutshot, back door two pair draw," Diebold sighed. He remains one of the biggest stacks in the room.

Le Wisely Checks Back the River

Level 13 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Tommy Le raised it up from the hijack and was called by Michael Batell and Ian O'Hara in the blinds. The flop came {j-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} and the blinds checked to Le who continued for 25,000. Batell and O'Hara both called to see the {6-Spades} on the turn.

The action checked to Le again who counted out a bet of 60,000. Batell called and O'Hara got out of the way. The {j-Spades} fell on the river and both players tapped the table. Batell turned over {q-Clubs}{9-Spades}{9-Clubs}{7-Spades} for a full house and Le conceded the pot.

Chidwick Rivers Better Full House Than Soverel

Level 13 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Stephen Chidwick
Stephen Chidwick

Sam Soverel on the button limped in and called when Stephen Chidwick in the big blind bumped it up to 20,000.

Chidwick checked on the flop of {7-Spades}{9-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} and called when Soverel threw out a bet of 25,000. Chidwick check-called again for 35,000 on the {9-Spades} turn.

Chidwick checked for the third consecutive street on the {q-Hearts} river and Soverel bet 170,000. Chidwick responded with a check-jam worth 188,000.

Soverel hit the table in frustration as he suspected he was beat. For just 18,000 more, Soverel tossed in a call. Soverel was indeed beat as Chidwick turned over {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for queens full of nines, while Soverel had a worse full house with {10-}{10-}{x-}{x-}.
