Huge Razz Pot for "Bakes"

Level 4
David "Bakes" Baker
David "Bakes" Baker

Razz

David "Bakes" Baker's opponent's tried their best to bet the three-time bracelet winner out of a recent razz hand, but he wasn't having it.
On fourth street, Baker held {a-}{k-} vs his early position opponent's {5-}{9-} who bet, and his late position opponent's {5-}{10-}, who raised. Baker opted to call, only to face two more raises, which Baker again called.

After the four bets on fourth, Baker again called a bet and a call on fifth and sixth street with the players' boards reading:

David "Bakes" Baker: {x-}{x-}/{a-}{k-}{7-}{9-}
Early Position Opponent: {x-}{x-}/{5-}{9-}{q-}{2-}
Late Position Opponent: {x-}{x-}/{5-}{10-}{k-}{8-}

On seventh street, both opponents checked to Baker, who bet, and was quickly called by the early position opponent. The other player folded.

Baker showed {8-}{7-}{6-}{2-}{a-}, for the best hand to drag a sizeable pot.

Level 4
Maria Ho
Maria Ho

No-Limit Hold'em

Mario Ho three-bet to 1,800 preflop, and called a four-bet to 5,000 from Paul Holder. After the {q-Hearts}{5-}{3-Hearts} flop, Holder bet 5,000 and Ho raised all-in. Holder called and had Ho's top pair dominated.

Maria Ho: {k-}{q-}
Paul Holder: {a-}{a-}

The turn {6-} and river {7-} were no help, and Ho chose to re-enter early in level four.

The Ninth Game

Level 3

No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw

The ninth game in this tournament beyond the standard eight-game mix is the great game of No-Limit 2-7 Triple Draw.

A couple of hands were recently played at table 529 with the following results:

Amnon Filippi raised from the cutoff to 600 and got calls from a player on the button and Faizal Khoja in the big blind. Khoja and the button player each drew one card while Filippi patted.

Khoja led out post-draw for 1,000 and got called by Filippi. The button folded.

Khoja showed a winning {9-}{8-}{6-}{4-}{2-} to drag the pot.

The following hand saw Filippi raise to 400 from the hijack. He got calls from James Woods on the button, Khoja in the small blind, and the player in the big blind.

Khoja drew two, the big blind patted, Filippi drew one, and Woods drew two.

Khoja checked to the big blind who bet 1,000. It was folded to Woods who raised to 2,000. Khoja folded and the big blind called.

Woods showed {9-}{6-}{5-}{4-}{3-} to beat the big blind's {10-}{9-}{8-}{7-}{4-}.

Watson Finds a Fold

Level 3

Pot-Limit Omaha

Mike Watson is playing his first event of this year's WSOP, and was just involved in a hand with Craig Chait.

Action picked up on the turn, where Watson bet 4,000 from the cutoff and got called by Chait from the button on an {a-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} board.

On the river {10-Diamonds}, Watson checked to Chait, who bet 4,500.

Watson gave it some thought then folded, dropping his chips to around a starting stack.
