Liberto Back From the Brink

Level 13

Omaha Hi-Lo

Justin Liberto was all-in preflop with the {4-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and Christopher Classen looked him up with the {8-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{6-Spades}. The board ran out {a-Hearts}{j-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{2-Hearts} and Liberto made a wheel to double.

Razz

Justin Liberto: {8-}{5-} / {a-}{2-}{5-}{6-} / {10-}
Christopher Claassen: {3-}{7-} / {a-}{7-}{6-}{7-} / {q-}

Liberto then completed and called a raise by Claassen when the game variant changed. He bet fourth and was all-in after fifth, picking up a call from Claassen. Liberto ended up with an eighty-six and Claassen bricked the seventy-six draw after spiking a queen os his final card.

Elezra is Back and Wins One Against Hori

Level 13
Eli Elezra
Eli Elezra

Razz

Kentaro Hori: {7-}{6-}/{2-}{k-}{9-}{5-}/{4-}
Eli Elezra: {6-}{4-}/{3-}{q-}{9-}{5-}/{2-}

The action was discovered with Elezra having fired out a big bet on seventh street and Hori raised. After a brief moment, Elezra re-raised, and Hori called. The latter was shown the bad news as Elezra tabled a six-five low that trumped the seven-six low held by Hori, and Elezra was awarded the pot.

This was one of Elezra's first hands back from his no-limit tournament where he said he ran up his 220,000 chips to over a million. He chipped up to a comfortable 240,000 in the nine-game mix where he is currently playing.

Mizzi Eliminated in Three-Way All-In

Level 13

Stud Hi-Lo

Tamon Nakamura: {4-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{j-Spades} / {3-Spades}{8-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}
Marcus Mizzi: {8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} / {3-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}
Maria Ho: {k-Spades}{8-Hearts}{2-Spades} / {k-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{j-Clubs}

Maria Ho was involved in a three-way showdown in which Marcus Mizzi was all-in after fifth street with a pair of treys showing. Tamon Nakamura stuck around with an open low draw while Ho had three cards to a heart flush. Ultimately, Ho won the high pot with a pair of kings after she missed the flush draw.

Mizzi had an eight-seven low but that one was not good enough, as Nakamura ended up with an eight-five low.

Woods Scoops Scroggins

Stud Hi-Lo

Daniel Scroggins: {x-}{x-} / {2-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{5-Spades}{k-Spades} / {x-}
James Woods: {x-}{x-} / {5-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{8-Hearts} / {x-}

James Woods bet all the way against Daniel Scroggins and the latter called, already suspicious, and asked "do you have trips?" Woods was even better than that as he tabled the {6-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{2-Spades} for a six-high straight and a low to scoop the entire pot, leaving Scroggins on fumes.

Long Wins a Big Pot Against Saechao

Level 14

Pot-Limit Omaha

The showdown had already taken place and the stack of Colleen Long was counted. She had doubled through the start-of-the-day chip leader Kao "Flexx" Saechao when her {a-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{8-Spades} made a straight on the {7-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{9-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} board. Saechao had missed the nut flush draw with {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} and had to pay off 85,000 to lose a big chunk of his stack.
