Event #54: $2,500 Nine-Game Mix 6-Handed
Day 1 Started
A brand-new event at the World Series of Poker begins today as Event #54 $2,500 Nine-Game Mix kicks off in the Amazon room.
Mixed gamers will navigate not just the standard H.O.R.S.E. rotation, but No-Limit Hold’em, Pot-Limit Omaha, and Limit 2-7 Triple Draw (the other games in a standard eight-game mix), plus the ninth game, No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw. Sorry Badugi, maybe if the WSOP expands to a 10-game mix next year.
The three-day event begins at 3:00 p.m. local time, with ten 60-minute levels played, and 15-minute breaks after every two levels, wrapping play up around 2:00 a.m.
Winners of earlier mixed game events at this year’s WSOP include Jesse Klein (Event #2 $25,000 H.O.R.S.E.), Jaswinder Lally (Event #7 $1,500 Dealer’s Choice), Vladimir Peck (Event #18 $2,500 Mixed Triple Draw), Dylan Linde (Event #21 $1,500 Mixed Omaha), Ryan Leng (Event #23 $1,500 Eight Game Mix), Anthony Zinno (Event #27 $1,500 H.O.R.S.E.), Jim Collopy (Event #32 $3,000 H.O.R.S.E.), Adam Friedman (Event #36 $10,000 Dealer’s Choice), and Kevin Gerhart (Event #40 $10,000 H.O.R.S.E.)
Some of those players will surely be making an appearance in this event, as the WSOP mixed game tournaments always guarantee a star-studded field of some of the best all-round poker players in the world.

2-7 Triple Draw
Robert Campbell patted while two opponents drew, with both players check-calling Campbell's bet. The action repeated on the second draw, with Cambell betting again and finding two callers. Both opponents drew for a final time while Cambell patted again, and all three players checked around. Cambell showed ![]()
