Jacks Hold for Gallegos

Level 21 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

A player opened to 55,000 and it was three-bet by the hijack before Timothy Gallegos shoved for 270,000 on the button. It folded back to the hijack who quickly made the call for the following showdown:

Timothy Gallegos: {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts}
Opponent: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}

Gallegos's pocket jacks held throughout the {6-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} board and the pot was sent to Gallegos.

Dejenderedjian's Kings Hold for Chip Lead Pot

Level 21 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

After arriving at the table, two players had all of their chips in the middle in what would be a huge pot. Thibault Dejenderedjian had the best of it and also had his opponent's stack of around 650,000 covered.

Opponent: {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}
Thibault Dejenderedjian: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

The board ran out {j-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{7-Clubs} and Dejenderedjian held on to eliminate his opponent while stacking up one of the largest stacks in the room.

Double Up for Oppenheimer

Level 21 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Kenneth Oppenheimer open-shoved in early position for his last 195,000 chips and it folded to the big blind who made the call.

Kenneth Oppenheimer: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Opponent: {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

Oppenheimer was in good shape for the double up, which he did after the {7-Spades}{9-Clubs}{5-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} run out.

Aces for Webb

Level 21 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

A player opened in the hijack and Stephen Webb shoved behind for a stack worth 205,000. It folded back to the hijack made the call with {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades} but only to see {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds} in Webb's hand.

The board brought {q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{6-Spades}{k-Spades}, improving Webb's hand into a straight and giving him the double up he needed.

Johnston Binks the River to Stay Alive

Level 21 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Alex Benjamen opened to 75,000 from under the gun and Stephanie Johnston called from the small blind. The flop came {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} and Johnston checked to Benjamen who continued for 80,000. Johnston check-raised all in for 330,000 and Benjamen snap-called.

Stephanie Johnston: {k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}
Alex Benjamen: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}

Johnston was behind but still had a few outs in the deck. The {7-Diamonds} on the turn changed nothing but it was the {j-Spades} on the river that gave Johnston trip jacks and a double up.

One for Kang

Level 21 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

The action was picked up on a {7-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{3-Spades}{8-Spades} board with a pot containing more than 360,000.

Hogyun Kang, in the big blind seat, pushed all in for a stack worth 420,000, putting his opponent into a decision for his tournament life. After a few minutes, the latter let it go, and Kang took down the pot.

Justin Arnwine
Justin Arnwine

On a {k-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{j-Hearts} board with a pot already containing more than 250,000 chips, Justin Arnwine check-called a 130,000 bet from Christopher Herrin on the button.

The river was the {5-Hearts} and Arnwine checked once more. Herrin tanked for some time and bet 180,000. It was enough for Arnwine who folded his hand.
