Wong Eliminates Tate

Level 12

Brian Tate was all-in from the small blind before the drawing rounds but had to get through three opponents if he was to survive the hand.

Tate drew two, Phil Hellmuth drew two from the big blind, Danny Wong drew one from early position, and Wil Wilkinson drew two on the button.

Wong bet the first round, getting a fold from Hellmuth and a call from Wilkinson.

Each remaining player drew one and checked, then on the final draw, Wong patted, while the others drew one.

Wong showed {10-}{8-}{6-}{4-}{2-} on the end, which proved to be the winning hand, earning him a pot that put his stack over 500,000

"I Guess I Give Up On You Kid"

Level 13
Phil Hellmuth
Phil Hellmuth

Phil Hellmuth's stack has shrunk to one of the smallest in the room after a recent hand with chip leader Danny Wong.

Hellmuth raised in late position and got called by Wong in the small blind.

Wong drew one while Hellmuth drew two. Hellmuth then called a bet from Wong.

On the second draw, Wong patted while Hellmuth drew one.

Wong bet again and was met with a raise by Hellmuth. Wong wasn't fazed however and responded with another raise.

Hellmuth went briefly into the tank before showing four cards to a wheel and folding.

"I guess I was wrong about you kid, I thought you were going to be the one to give me all the money", said Hellmuth, whose stack is now just above 100,000.

Wilkinson Puts Hellmuth Short, Deeb Finishes the Job

Level 13
Phil Hellmuth
Phil Hellmuth

Phil Hellmuth's tournament has come to an end after a pair of hands.

First, after Hellmuth raised in early position, Wil Wilkinson three-bet him from the big blind, and Hellmuth called.

Wilkinson drew one, while Hellmuth needed two. Wilkinson then bet and got raised by Hellmuth. Again Wilkinson three-bet him and Hellmuth called.

Wilkinson patted and Hellmuth drew one, then after Wilkinson bet and Hellmuth again called, Wilkinson exposed his hand with a draw still to come.

Wilkinson showed {7-}{6-}{5-}{3-}{2-} and Hellmuth was forced to draw two. Hellmuth couldn't improve and mucked his hand with just 11,000 chips left.

Hellmuth managed to double up shortly after, but then had to get his final chips in pre-draw against Shaun Deeb from the small blind, versus Deeb's big blind.

Hellmuth drew two, then patted twice, while Deeb drew two, one, and then patted behind Hellmuth on the final round.

Phil Hellmuth: {8-}{6-}{5-}{4-}{3-}
Shuan Deeb: {8-}{6-}{4-}{3-}{2-}

Deeb barely pipped Hellmuth on that final draw, eliminating him and boosting his own stack over 600,000.
