Elias Doubles With a Full House

Level 3 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Darren Elias
Darren Elias

Darren Elias was short-stacked and defended in the big blind against an early position raise in a three-way pot.

The early position opponent fired for 6,000 on the {5-Spades}{q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} flop and Daniel Negreanu folded on the button, while Elias called.

The turn brought the {6-Spades} and the early position opponent bet to put Elias all-in. He called.

Darren Elias: {5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}
Opponent: {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

Elias had flopped a set and had his opponent drawing dead heading to the {10-Clubs} river, which gave Elias a full house.

Seidel Ships on the River

Level 4 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Erik Seidel opened to 4,500 from the hijack and the action folded to Jared Jaffee in the big blind who three-bet to 22,000. Seidel called and they headed to a flop of {j-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}.

Jaffee continued with a bet of 16,500 and Seidel called to see the {8-Spades} on the turn. Jaffee fired out another bet of 38,500 but still couldn't shake Seidel.

The river was the {6-Hearts} and Jaffee decided to check this time. Seidel moved all in for around 73,000 and Jaffee was displeased as he was forced to let his hand go.

Koon Leaves Himself With Crumbs, Busted Soon After

Level 4 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Jason Koon
Jason Koon

Action was picked up with Jason Koon in the midst of a decision on the river with the board reading {2-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{a-Hearts}. The pot had about 53,000 in the middle and Koon was facing a river bet of 25,000 from Julien Martini.

Koon sat back and ate his dinner while taking his time with the decision as it was for most of his remaining stack of about 32,000. He checked his cards a few times in between bites and said he had a pretty good hand.

Eventually, he called by placing the chips closer to Martini's stack than to the middle as if to say he knew he was giving the chips away. Sure enough, Martini showed the {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} which was the winner as Koon mucked and was left with a couple of blinds.

Shortly afterwards, he got all-in in late position against an early position opponent.

Jason Koon: {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}
Opponent: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}

"This is not the flip I want to win," Koon said as the board ran out {3-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{8-Spades}{7-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} and he was busted.

Danchev Picks Off a Bluff from Davies

Level 4 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Seth Davies raised it up on the button and Dimitar Danchev defended his big blind. The flop came {j-Spades}{8-Spades}{5-Clubs} and Danchev check-called a bet of 12,000 from Davies.

The turn was the {6-Spades} and both players checked to the {2-Hearts} on the river. Danchev checked again and Davies put together a bet of 30,000. Danchev thought it over before making the call. Davies showed {q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} for just queen-high while Danchev tabled {a-Hearts}{5-Spades} for a pair of fives.

Addamo Eliminated With Aces Full Against Quads

Level 4 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Ankush Mandavia - Michael Addamo
Ankush Mandavia - Michael Addamo

Michael Addamo was eliminated in a sick cooler against Ankush Mandavia.

Addamo bet around 13,000 in position on a flop of {10-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} and Mandavia called. The turn brought the {q-Diamonds} and Addamo tanked before firing a bet of 25,000, which his opponent called.

Addamo looked like a statue when checked to on the {a-Clubs} river and eventually moved all-in for around 85,000.

His opponent snapped and showed {10-Hearts}{10-Spades} for quads, and Addamo looked sick as he stared at his cards. He showed the table he had {a-Hearts}{a-Spades} for aces full and quietly gathered his belongings.

Laplante Calls it Off to Guilbert

Level 4 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Ryan Laplante
Ryan Laplante

Action was caught on the river on a board that was completed and read the {j-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{7-Hearts}. The pot had about 75,000 in the middle and Ryan Laplante was facing a decision for his tournament life against a shove from Johan Guilbert.

Laplante thought for over a minute before he called.

Guilbert turned over the {a-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} for top pair which was the winner as Laplante flashed a jack and got up from the table without any chips left.

Badziakouski Sends Ausmus to the Rail

Level 4 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Mikita Badziakouski just recently took a seat for the first time in the 2021 WSOP and was instantly rewarded with an abundance of chips. Badziakouski opened to 6,500 in middle position only to have Jeremy Ausmus three-bet to 16,000. The action was back on Badziakouski who moved his fresh stack of around 150,000 into the middle. Ausmus started the hand with around 110,000 and made the call.

Jeremy Ausmus: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
Mikita Badziakouski: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}

It was a classic race that saw Badziakouski hold the lead through the {5-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{2-Hearts} flop. The {2-Clubs} on the turn changed nothing and the {q-Diamonds} on the river only improved Badziakouski to a full house, sending Ausmus to the rail.
