Cates Nearly Doubles Through Leng

Level 27 : 75,000/150,000, 150,000 ante

Limit Hold'em

Ryan Leng raised from the small blind and Dan Cates called in the big.

Leng check-called a bet from Cates on the {a-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{j-Spades} flop and both players checked on the {9-Hearts} turn.

The {k-Clubs} completed the board and Leng bet. Cates raised all in for his last 900,000 and Leng folded the {a-Hearts}{5-Spades}, exposing his top pair.

Cates smashed {k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} for the second pair on the table and celebrated vividly before he scooped the pot.

Volpe Takes From Cates With a Flush

Level 27 : 75,000/150,000, 150,000 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

Dan Cates called from the small blind and Paul Volpe checked his option in the big.

Cates check-called a 200,000 bet from Volpe on the {7-Spades}{9-Hearts}{5-Hearts} flop.

The {10-Hearts} came on the turn and Cates check-called again — this time for a 400,000 bet from Volpe.

The {4-Spades} completed the board and Cates checked a final time — prompting a 1.05 million bet from Volpe.

Cates called and Volpe showed {q-Hearts}{10-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} for a flush. Cates mucked and Volpe collected the pot.
