Schwartz Wins First Pot After Joining

Level 2 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo

Three ways to the {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{2-Hearts} flop, Jake Schwartz bet and Michael Noori called as Eli Elezra check-folded. The {a-Hearts} turn and {9-Diamonds} river were checked and Schwartz tabled the {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}{j-Spades}{2-Clubs} as the winning hand. Noori tossed his {3-Diamonds} in the mix as well to make it look as if Schwartz were playing Big O.

Schwartz is one of three new entries as Dario Sammartino and Robert Mizrachi also joined.

Negreanu Wins One Against Barbero

Level 2 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw

In a three-bet pot with 36,000 in the middle, Daniel Negreanu patted out of the small blind while Nacho Barbero took one. They checked and Negreanu rolled over the {10-}{8-}{7-}{6-}{5-} for a ten-eight. "I broke a ten-nine," Barbero said in table chat and mucked his cards.

Berman Doubles Through Negreanu

Level 2 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw

Nacho Barbero opened to 4,000 under-the-gun and was three-bet to 14,000 by Daniel Negreanu on the button. Bradley Berman then shoved for his last 74,000 from the small blind and Barbero folded to Negreanu, who called to put Berman at risk.

Berman stood pat and Negreanu drew one.

Bradley Berman: {10-}{9-}{8-}{5-}{4-}
Daniel Negreanu: {8-}{6-}{3-Hearts}{2-}/{x-}

Negreanu showed that he broke a jack and peeled a {2-} — pairing his deuce and awarding the double up to Berman.

George Wolff raised to 2,500 on the button and was called by Johannes Becker in the small blind and Matthew Ashton in the big blind. Becker took two, Ashton took one and Wolff patted. Daher and Negreanu Join the Field

Level 2 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

The tournament screens show 19 entries but only 17 of them are seated in the second level of the day. Albert Daher arrived a few minutes ago and Daniel Negreanu now showed up. As he sat down at his table, he recorded the line-up for his vlog with the usual commentary.

Yitzhaki Chips Up in Back-to-Back Hands

Level 2 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Limit Hold'em

Three ways to the {8-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{q-Spades} turn, the action checked through. The {9-Clubs} fell on the river and Roman Yitzhaki bet out of the small blind. Johannes Becker folded from under the gun and Matthew Ashton came to the same conclusion.

Yitzhaki then raised the button and Becker filled up in the big blind. The {9-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{4-Clubs} flop was checked and Becker bet the {q-Diamonds} turn, picking up a call. Becker also bet the {k-Diamonds} river and Yitzhaki raised to force a fold.

Yitzhaki Folds to Ashton

Level 2 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Limit Hold'em

Matthew Ashton raised on the button and was called by Roman Yitzhaki in the big blind.

Bohlman Chops One; Wins One

Level 2 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo

Bryce Yockey defended the big blind and then bet the {10-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{8-Spades} flop and the {6-Diamonds} turn, both of which Scott Bohlman called. Yockey also bet the {2-Diamonds} river and Bohlman called to win the high pot with the {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{10-Spades}. Yockey tabled the {j-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{4-Hearts} for a straight but earned the low instead.

One hand later, David Benyamine raised in the cutoff and Bohlman defended out of the big blind. Bohlman check-raised the {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{2-Clubs} flop, then bet the {j-Hearts} turn and {3-Clubs} river. Benyamine called to the river on which he then reluctantly folded.
