Zack Beats Alexander in Showdown

Level 12 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Seven Card Stud

George Alexander: {x-}{x-} / {9-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} / {x-}
Daniel Zack: {x-}{x-} / {j-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{a-Spades}{5-Hearts} / {x-}

As of fifth street, George Alexander check-called bets by Daniel Zack and was seemingly befuddled by the board on the other side of the table. He reluctantly called the final bet by Zack, who announced a full house and rolled over {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} for jacks full of aces.

Ohel Chops One With Brewer

Level 12 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo

Randy Ohel bet the {a-Spades}{10-Clubs}{4-Spades} flop and was called by Chris Brewer to then also bet the {8-Spades} turn. This time, Brewer raised and Ohel called. Another bet by Ohel on the {j-Diamonds} river was called and he revealed the {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} for a straight and a low. Brewer had the superior low with the {5-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{2-Hearts} and they chopped it up.

Yockey Takes From Ramos

Level 12 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

No-Limit Hold'em

Joining the action on the heads-up flop of {8-Spades}{7-Hearts}{2-Clubs}, Felipe Ramos checked out of the big blind and called a bet worth 15,000 by Bryce Yockey on the button. Ramos bet the {8-Diamonds} turn for 31,000 and earned a call before then checking the {a-Diamonds} river. Yockey bet 85,000 and that won the pot uncontested, as Ramos elected to fold.

Klein Gets Value From Cates

Level 12 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

No-Limit Hold'em

Dan Cates opened to 12,000 from the hijack and found one caller in Jesse Klein in the big blind.

Klein check-called a 10,000 bet from Cates on the {9-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} flop and both players checked on the {9-Clubs} turn.

The {3-Clubs} completed the board and Klein tossed a 25,000 bet into the middle.

Cates decided to call and Klein tabled {q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} for queens and nines.

"I can't beat that," Cates said and he tossed his cards into the muck.

David Benyamine
David Benyamine

Limit 2-7 Triple Draw

David Benyamine committed his last 20,000 chips against Yuval Bronshtein.

By the second draw, Benyamine took two cards while Bronshtein stayed pat. After Benyamine drew two again, Bronshtein turned over his 9-5-4-3-2.

Benyamine had one draw remaining but told the table that he was drawing dead and slid his cards into the muck.

Rast Takes From Campbell

Level 12 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

Brian Rast opened to 13,000 on the button and was called by Robert Campbell in the big blind.

Both players checked on the {k-Spades}{j-Spades}{5-Diamonds} flop, but Campbell led out for 22,000 when the {4-Hearts} fell on the turn. Rast called.

The {q-Diamonds} completed the board and both players checked down.

Campbell tabled {q-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} for two pair, but it was no good against the {k-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{4-Spades} of Rast for a superior two pair and he scooped the pot.

Campbell Wins One; Loses One

Level 12 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Limit Hold'em

Chad Campbell missed a flopped flush draw but instead hit running queens with the {q-Spades}{5-Spades} for trips to get paid off by Brian Rast. One hand later, Chris Vitch raised on the button and was called by Campbell and Rast in the blinds. Only Campbell check-called a bet on the {k-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{7-Hearts} flop when Rast bet and then checked again the {3-Spades} turn. Rast bet once more and this time, Campbell folded.

Bohlman Busts; Monnette Gets a Jam Through

Level 12 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Scott Bohlman
Scott Bohlman

Limit 2-7 Triple Draw

Scott Bohlman raised with his short stack and called a three-bet by Julien Martini in the small blind. Martini drew one and Bohlman took one. The bet of Martini was called and both took one, Bohlman got his last few chips in and they patted. Martini had a {10-}{8-}{5-}{4-}{2-} and Bohlman flashed an inferior {10-}{8-}{6-}{5-}{x-} to bust.

As a result, the field was reduced to the final 36 players and a table broke to balance the field, sending Daniel Negreanu to the vacated seat. He arrived while the game type had just changed.

No-Limit Hold'em

John Monnette raised to 13,000 and called a three-bet by Josh Arieh. The {8-Hearts}{7-Spades}{6-Hearts} flop saw Monnette jam for what appeared to be 113,000 and Arieh folded.

Trip Deuces for Negreanu Against Seiver

Level 12 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

Scott Seiver bet 10,000 on the {9-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{2-Spades} flop and Daniel Negreanu called to the {k-Hearts} turn. Seiver fired again for 30,000 and Negreanu tossed in a call to the {3-Diamonds} river. Seiver took a moment before betting 75,000 and Negreanu took his time before making the call.

Seiver waited to see Negreanu show {7-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{2-Clubs} before mucking his cards and sliding his chips to the left.
