Zack's Full House > Sammartino's Full House

Level 13 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Daniel Zack
Daniel Zack

Pot-Limit Omaha

On a flop of {6-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}, Daniel Zack bet 20,000 from the hijack and was called by Dario Sammartino, who was on the button.

Zack then check-called a 45,000 bet from Sammartino on the {7-Diamonds} turn.

The {7-Hearts} completed the board and Zack led out for a hefty 175,000 — sending Sammartino into the tank.

"I have a full house," Sammartino said. "Show me ace nine." Sammartino then placed calling chips into the middle.

Zack tabled {q-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{8-Spades} for nines-full and Sammartino revealed he held {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds} for a lower full house as Zack collected the pot.

Dan Smith

Limit Hold'em

Bryce Yockey in the hijack and Dan Smith in the big blind were involved in the action with the former raising and the latter three-betting to see the {7-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} flop. Smith bet and Yockey called which led them to the {q-Hearts} turn. Smith bet once more with few chips behind and then called all-in when Yockey raised.

Dan Smith: {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}
Bryce Yockey: {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}

The {j-Diamonds} on the river brought no miracle to Smith and he became the first casualty on Day 3.

Randy Ohel
Randy Ohel

Limit 2-7 Triple Draw

Chad Campbell raised on the button and Randy Ohel called all-in for less from the small blind. Jesse Klein also called from the big blind.

All three players drew two and Campbell called a bet from Klein.

Ohel and Campbell drew two on the second draw and Klein stood pat. Klein bet again and Campbell appeared to want to call, but mistakenly put in enough chips to denote a raise. The dealer ruled it was a raise and Klein then made it three bets to go. Campbell called.

Ohel and Campbell drew one on the end and Klein again stood pat. Klein bet and Campbell folded.

Ohel had drawn to an eighty-seven, but it was no good against the {7-}{6-}{5-}{3-}{2-} of Klein and Ohel was eliminated.

Katz Eliminated by Bronshtein

Level 15 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Cary Katz
Cary Katz

Pot-Limit Omaha

On a flop of {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{4-Spades}, Cary Katz bet the size of the pot, approximately 100,000, leaving himself very little behind.

Yuval Bronshtein raised to put Katz all-in, and Katz called.

Cary Katz: {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{9-Spades}
Yuval Bronshtein: {j-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{3-Hearts}

While Bronshtein had the best made hand with his pair of eights, Katz had a world of draws, including a superior heart flush draw than his opponent.

The {6-Spades}{j-Clubs} runout however brought no help to Katz, as Bronshtein's two pair of jacks and eights took the pot and eliminated Katz.

Alex Livingston

Pot-Limit Omaha

Dan Cates opened to 30,000 from the cutoff and action folded to Alex Livingston in the big blind, who went all in for his last 49,000. Cates called and hands were revealed.

Dan Cates: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{9-Spades}
Alex Livingston: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}

Livingston was ahead with his kings, but the board ran out {5-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{k-Hearts} — leaving Cates with quad queens against Livingston's full house.

"Let's switch the turn and the river so it looks like a bad beat!" Elezra joked as Livingston made his exit.

Ben Lamb

No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw

Chad Campbell raised from under the gun to 40,000 and Ben Lamb then three-bet to 150,000 out of a stack of around 800,000. Campbell wasted very little time before jamming for just under one million and that sent Lamb into the tank.

After some 90 seconds, Lamb called all-in and both players patted. Campbell rolled over the {9-}{7-}{5-}{3-}{2-} and Lamb's {9-}{8-}{7-}{5-}{4-} ended up second-best to eliminate Lamb in 23rd place.
