Harder Doubles Through Birdsall

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Mark Birdsall raised to 35,000 from early position and Kevin Gerhart called from the small blind while Kevin Gerhart came along in the big blind.

The flop was {9-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} and Gerhart checked. Harder shoved for his last 80,000 and Birdsall called while Gerhart mucked.

Christian Harder: {k-Hearts}{j-Spades}{10-Hearts}{7-Clubs}
Mark Birdsall: {8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{6-Clubs}

The turn was {q-Diamonds} and the river {10-Spades} gave Harder the double with tens full of jacks.

Gerhart Busts Coleman

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Maxx Coleman
Maxx Coleman

Maxx Coleman raised 35,000 from early position and Mark Birdsall called from the cutoff. Kevin Gerhart raised to 118,000.

Action folded back to Coleman and he shoved the last of his stack into the middle. Birdsall thought it over before tossing his hand in the muck and Gerhart called for around 100,000.

Maxx Coleman: {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}
Kevin Gerhart: {a-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}

The board ran out {7-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{10-Clubs} and Gerhart's three tens knocked Coleman out of the tournament.

Allen Doubles Through Coultas

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

The hand was discovered on a completed board of {2-Spades}{5-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} with Richie Allen all-in and at-risk versus his opponent, Charles Coultas.

Both hands were tabled and it was the {a-Hearts}{10-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{3-Spades} for a wheel held by Allen that scooped the {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{j-Spades}{6-Hearts} held by Coultas, and the former survived his all-in and doubled up.

Holder Eliminates Birdsall

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Paul Holder
Paul Holder

The hand was picked up on a completed board of {8-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{j-Clubs} with Mark Birdsall who was all-in and at-risk versus Paul Holder.

The hands were turned face-up and it was the {j-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{2-Clubs} for a rivered full house, jacks full of deuces, that came from behind and bested the {10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{6-Hearts} for a lower full house, eights full of jacks, held by Birdsall, and the latter was eliminated from the tournament.

"Well, if I had to go out, at least I did it in style," announced Birdsall as he gathered his things and headed towards the exit with a big smile on his face.
