Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Danny Chang
Danny Chang

Danny Chang opened to 25,000 in middle position and was called by Brian Hastings in the cutoff and Louis Werman on the button. The flop came {9-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} and the action checked to Werman who bet 40,000. Chang check-raised to 110,000 and which got Hastings to fold but Werman called.

The turn was the {k-Clubs} and Chang threw in another bet of 110,000. Werman still called and the {6-Spades} hit the river. Chang counted out a bet of 140,000 and Werman sighed before he stuck in the chips to call. Chang flipped over {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{4-Spades} for a full house and Werman sent his cards to the muck.

Nick Shulman
Nick Shulman

Alan Sternberg opened to 19,000 in early position and Nick Schulman defended from the big blind. The flop came {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}{3-Clubs} and both players checked to the {4-Spades} on the turn.

Schulman led out with a bet of 12,000 and Sternberg called to see the {10-Hearts} on the river. Schulman checked this time and Sternberg threw in a bet of 20,000. Schulman agonized for over a minute before finally making the call. Sternberg announced "Just a three," before Schulman tabled {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} to claim the pot.

Welborn Survives All-in; Doubles Through Radanov

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

The action was picked up on a flop of {q-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} with Thomas Welborn who had moved all-in and was called by Damjan Radanov.

The hands were tabled and it was the {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{5-Clubs} held by Radanov versus the {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{2-Spades} held by Welborn.

The dealer dealt the {5-Diamonds} turn card and Radanov remained ahead with one pair of aces, but Welborn had outs to a low and straight.

The river card was the {10-Hearts} and one of the aforementioned outs which Welborn catapulted to the winning hand with a rivered queen-high straight.

With that hand, Welborn survived his all-in and chipped up to 140,000.

Hachem Flops Trips and Holds

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Hernan Salazar opened to 15,000 in early position and Joe Hachem three-bet to 54,000 on his left. The action folded back to Salazar who made the call. The flop came {6-Hearts}{3-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and Salazar checked to Hachem who dropped in a stack of chips. Salazar called off his last 65,000 chips and the cards were tabled.

Hernan Salazar: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{4-Spades}
Joe Hachem: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{3-Hearts}

Hachem flopped trip threes which left Salazar drawing to running fours or a six for the high, or half the pot with a low. The {k-Hearts} on the turn and the {j-Spades} on the river were no help to Salazar who exited the tournament.

The turn card was the {6-Hearts} and the action went the same way.

The {a-Spades} completed the board and this time Yu fired off a bet of 35,000. Next, Johnson thought for a brief moment before he gently whirled his back to the dealer.

Liberto Doubles Up Israelashvili, Busts to Gross

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Justin Liberto limped in from middle position which invited Roland Israelashvili to come along from the cutoff and Anatolii Zyrin in the big blind. The flop came {q-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} and Liberto threw in a bet of 21,000. Israelashvili called and Zyrin folded.

The turn brought the {4-Diamonds} and Liberto bet the pot. Israelashvili quickly stuck in his last 68,000 and turned over {a-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{5-Spades}{3-Hearts}. Liberto was only playing for half the pot with {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{2-Spades}{2-Diamonds} and the {a-Spades} on the river even took that away.

Liberto was left with just 48,000 chips and was able to get it all in against Jeff Gross in the next hand. Liberto held {a-}{k-}{j-}{j-} against the {a-}{a-}{q-}{3-} of Gross. The board ran out clean for Gross who nearly doubled his stack while Liberto was eliminated.

Force Survives All-in; Chops Up a Big One

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Leif Force
Leif Force

The hand was discovered on a completed board of {5-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} with Leif Force who was all-in and at-risk versus Damjan Radanov and Richard Sklar.

With the all-in, each hand involved was tabled and it was the {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{5-Clubs} for the nut diamond flush held by Sklar that won the high, while the {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{2-Hearts} for the nut low held by Force took down the low, and each bested the {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{k-Spades}{8-Hearts} held by Radanov.

With this hand Force survived his all-in, while Sklar chipped up to a comfortable 270,000.
