Villena Doubles Through Saechao

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Paulo Villena
Paulo Villena

Kao Chieng Saechao raised under the gun to 300,000 and Paulo Villena decided to shove his last 700,000 from the cutoff. The rest of the players folded and Saechao didn't take long to call:

Paulo Villena: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{k-Spades}{3-Spades}
Kao Chieng Saechao: {9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}

Villena had the best starting hand, and the flop first fell {j-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{10-Diamonds}, giving the straight to Saechao. However, a {5-Spades} and a {q-Spades} completed the board to improve Villena's hand into the flush to give him the double up.

Amokrane's Turn to Double Through Saechao

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Kao Chieng Saechao raised to 350,000 from the button before Mourad Amokrane went all in for 1,070,000. "Alright, let's go. I call," Saechao said, slamming in his chips and showing {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}.

Amokrane needed help with {a-Clubs}{k-}{q-Clubs}{j-Spades} as the {10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{4-Spades} flop gave him an open-ended straight draw. He missed the {9-Diamonds} turn, but spiked the straight on the {8-Spades} river to double up.

"You had ace-high. How are you going to win? You had nothing," a frustrated Saechao said as he sent over another double-up.

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Kao Chieng Saechao
Kao Chieng Saechao

Kao Chieng Saechao raised to 300,000 and it folded to Mourad Amokrane who potted on the button. It came back to Saechao who quickly called all in with his last chips for the following showdown:

Kao Chieng Saechao: {a-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{6-Spades}
Mourad Amokrane: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{10-Clubs}{4-Hearts}

Saechao had to hit on the board for the double up, but the dealer showed the {j-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} ranout to give the winning hand to Amokrane and Saechao made his way to the payout desk to collect his $13,610.

Villena Wonders What Amokrane Has

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Paulo Villena raised to 310,000 from under the gun and Mourad Amokrane called in the small blind. In the big blind, Jeff Gross tanked for about a minute, counting down the rest of his chips, before deciding to fold.

Both players checked through to the river on a board of {8-Clubs}{6-Spades}{7-Clubs}{a-Spades}{4-Hearts}, when Amokrane led out with 380,000. Villena considered the call for a moment before deciding to fold. Amokrane showed the {j-Clubs}{8-Spades}.

"What did you have? Was that an ace," Villena asked.

"No ace," Amokrane said while keeping his other two cards a secret.
