Jewett Doubles Brown; Smith Out

Level 5 : 300/600, 600 ante

Matthew Jewett bet 2,000 on a flop of {8-Clubs}{2-Spades}{10-Diamonds} and Chad J. Brown called in the big blind. The turn came the {9-Diamonds} and Brown checked over to Jewett, who bet 10,000.

Brown responded by shoving all in and Jewett snap-called. Brown had {j-Hearts}{7-Spades} for the straight, while Jewett was on a flush draw with {a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}.

The river came the {k-Hearts}, missing Jewett and securing the double up for Brown.

Jewett recently busted Dan Smith at this table, winning a coin flip with queens to ace-king.

Frank Lagodich
Frank Lagodich

Action was picked up on the river in a pot between Melissa Saphier and Frank Lagodich, with a pot containing 26,100, and a board reading {8-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{5-Clubs}. Action was on Lagodich who bet 26,100, sending Saphier into the tank.

After about 30-second had gone by, Saphier put in the chips for the call and tabled her {j-Diamonds}{9-Spades} for jacks and nines. It was, however, no good against Lagodich's {q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} for a queen-high straight.

This table broke immediately after the hand.

Deyra Forced Out by Sun

Level 5 : 300/600, 600 ante

Ivan Deyra three-bet to 4,400 and was cold-called by Chiiching Sun in the big blind and the initial raiser. The flop fell {9-Spades}{5-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and the action checked to Deyra, who bet 4,600. Sun check-raised to 15,000 and that did the trick to win the pot uncontested.

Deyra sent his cards into the muck and then briefly chatted with fellow Frenchman Romain Lewis, who holds the far bigger stack one seat over.
