Pratt Loses Big Pot To Simon

Action picked up on the flop of {q-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} with Pratt betting 2,500 into a pot between her and David Simon. Simon responded with a raise to 8,200, which was followed by a re-raise from Pratt to 22,500. Simon thought about it for a bit before moving all-in for 55,800 and Pratt called.

The river came the {2-Diamonds} and the small blind checked over to Sullivan, who put out another bet of 4,300. His opponent quickly called but mucked when Sullivan showed {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for the turned flush.

The {3-Diamonds} turn brought a check-call for 5,000 by Sitron and he then led the {8-Spades} river for 10,000 in order to claim the pot without showdown, as Gundrum elected to fold.

2005 champion Joe Hachem just took his seat to the left of Nathan Gamble to begin his 16th Main Event. "What a special day this is," Hachem said.

As Hachem was counting his chips, Gamble three-bet from the button to 1,900 and an opponent called from under the gun. The flop came down {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}, and Gamble won the pot with a continuation bet of 3,100.
