Wong Wakes up With Aces; Eliminates Borenstein

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
George Wong
George Wong

Action folded around to the blinds, where George Wong raised 26,000 from the small. Jonathan Borenstein three-bet to 75,000 from the big and Wong raised right back to 135,000.

Borenstein took some time and then announced he was all in for his remaining stack and Wong snap-called to put Borenstein at risk.

Jonathan Borenstein: {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
George Wong: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}

It was a worst-case scenario for Borenstein, and the {6-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{k-Spades}{2-Spades} runout kept Wong's aces best — eliminating Borenstein from contention.

Davies Wins Three-Bet Pot

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Scott Davies kicked off the action with a raise to 22,000 and a new player who had taken the seat of Marc Bernal then three-bet to 90,000 in the big blind. After brief consideration, Davies opted to call and they headed to the {k-Spades}{5-Hearts}{4-Hearts} flop. The big blind continued for 60,000 and Davies clicked it back to 130,000. That was enough to break the resistance of his opponent and Davies chipped up without showdown.

Kniep Keeps Rolling

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

There was a raise from early position which was called by Andreas Kniep and the button. The flop fell {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} and the action checked to Kniep in the cutoff who threw in a bet. Both of his opponents called and the {5-Hearts} landed on the turn.

It checked to Kniep again who fired again for 100,000 this time. The button quickly called and the other player folded. The {k-Diamonds} completed the board and Kniep led out for a bet of 200,000. His opponent instantly called and Kniep turned over {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} which out-kicked his opponent's {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts}.
