Kihara Scoops Ohel

Level 11

Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better

Naoya Kihara: {x-}{x-}/{2-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{4-Spades}{6-Hearts}/{x-}
Randy Ohel: {x-}{x-}/{2-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{10-Hearts}{5-Spades}/{x-}

With 36,000 in bets in front of each player on seventh street, Naoya Kihara bet and was called by Randy Ohel.

Kihara rolled over {8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} for a six-high straight and six low.

Ohel tossed his cards into the muck as his stack fell below its starting size.

Barlow Eliminated by Johnson

Level 11

5-Card Draw High

Todd Barlow was all in once more with his short stack and looked up by Marco Johnson. He discarded two cards while Johnson took one and they exposed their cards.

Todd Barlow: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
Marco Johnson: {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}

Barlow received no help with the {3-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} and Johnson received the cherry on top as the {9-Diamonds} improved his hand to a full house, which Barlow took with a smile.

Brunner Next Early Casualty on Day 2

Level 11

Pot-Limit Omaha

A short-stacked Brian Brunner was all-in with the {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} against the {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{10-Spades}{4-Spades} of Jeff Madsen. Brunner freerolled after the {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} flop but had to settle for a chop after the {8-Hearts} turn and {8-Spades} river.

However, during one of the next hands, he was not as fortunate and the final chips were pushed over to Paul Volpe as Brunner quickly headed out of the tournament area.

John Lytle was eliminated by Christopher Claassen in a Stud variant and the last hand then brought more chips to Nathan Gamble. His final board showed {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{9-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} as the cards were already meshed to showcase the hand strength and it beat a pair of kings by Jesse McGinty.
