Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Femi Fashakin

A massive pot was brewing preflop on table 501.

A short stack pushed forward his last 175,000, Jiwoo Hyul re-shoved for 1,700,000, Femi Fashakin called all-in for less and Casey Campbell also called off for less.

Short Stack: {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Casey Campbell: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Femi Fashakin: {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Jiwoo Hyul: {5-Clubs}{5-Spades}

The flop came {j-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{7-Spades} as a crowd gathered around the table. The turn {10-Spades} was a big one for Campbell as he made a full house.

"Let's go," shouted Campbell.

The river brought the {4-Clubs} and Hyul held to eliminate the other two players.

"Side pot yea," Hyul shouted.

Both the short stack and Day 1 chip leader Fashakin were sent to the rail.

With the field down to just 99 players, plenty of big names are still in the hunt as they look to win the elusive gold bracelet and $335,286 top prize.

Qing Liu is far in front of the pack with an incredible 9.2 million chips as he looks to add to his impressive poker resume.

Jimmy D'Ambrosio aka Jimmy D has spun his starting stack up to 5.3 million as he will look to compete for his first career WSOP bracelet.

Two-time WSOP bracelet winner Yuri Dzivielevski is very much in the hunt with his 2.45 million chips.

Chrishan Sivasundaram, who finished third in this event last year, is going for back-to-back final table runs as he sits on 1.7 million.

Nicole Limo Greene aka Nikki Limo from the popular YouTube channel TotallySketch is also still in the running with 1.3 million.

Marle Spragg is also in the final 99 players as she is on a million chips.

Sotiropoulos Calls All In After Clock Called, Busts vs. Wong

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Georgios Sotiropoulos
Georgios Sotiropoulos

With 700,000 already in the pot in a blind-on-blind battle, the board read {q-Clubs}{a-Spades}{2-Clubs}{7-Clubs} and Spencer Wong put three-time bracelet winner Georgios Sotiropoulos all in.

Sotiropoulos went into the tank for a little over two minutes before somebody at the table called the clock. The Greek was given 25 seconds to make a decision and called when the director counted down to one second.

Georgios Sotiropoulos: {a-Spades}{3-Clubs}
Spencer Wong: {a-Clubs}{2-Hearts}

Sotiropoulos was drawing to three outs and the {10-Hearts} couldn't save him, sending Wong to nearly two million in chips.

Just 289 players remain, from a starting field of 5,715 entries, heading into Day 2 of Event #11: $600 No-Limit Hold’em Deepstack at the Bally’s and Paris Las Vegas.

One of the big names to watch will be the well-known Jimmy D'Ambrosio (1,170,000) from Chicago, Illinois. He used a combination of table talk and aggression to amass a big stack by night's end.

He has some tough competition, however, as WSOP bracelet winners Femi Fashakin (3,215,000), Georgios Sotiropoulos (1,125,000), Ankush Mandavia (605,000), Yuri Dzivielevski (540,000), Kevin MacPhee (510,000), Tristan Wade (490,000), Jeremy Wien (415,000), Men Nguyen (409,000), Dalibor Dula (320,000), Barny Boatman (210,000),
Robert Mcmillan (240,000) and Jim Collopy (130,000) are all lurking in the field.

The 5,715 players generated a prize pool of $2,914,650 and first place will earn $335,286. Remaining players will return to the Bally's red section at noon local time on Tuesday, June, 7, to play down to a winner. Levels remain 30-minutes long throughout this event, so cards and chips will be flying!

Keep up with all the action here on PokerNews as we crown a champion in this event and our continuing coverage of the 2022 WSOP in it's new home at Bally's and Paris Las Vegas.
