Bujtas Collects With Check-Raise

Level 2 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

David Coleman opened to 7,500 from early position, Victoria Livschitz called on the button, Laszlo Bujtas called in the small blind, and Chance Kornuth defended the big blind.

The dealer spread the {a-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{2-Spades} flop and the blinds checked to Coleman who continued for 8,000. Livschitz called, Bujtas raised, and after some time for deliberation, all other players folded to concede the pot.

Back-to-Back Pots for Bujtas

Level 2 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Laszlo Bujtas opened to 8,000 from under the gun and was called by David Stamm and Victoria Livschitz in the blinds. The flop came {8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and Bujtas earned the pot with a 12,000 continuation bet.

On the next hand, Stamm raised to 6,500 on the button and Bujtas defended from the big blind. The flop fell {5-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and both players checked to the {6-Spades} on the turn.

Bujtas led out with a bet of 5,000 and Stamm stuck around to see the {5-Spades} on the river. Bujtas sized up with a bet of 20,000 this time and Stamm released his cards.

Grafton Runs Kings into Aces

Level 1 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Sam Grafton
Sam Grafton

Jonathan Jaffe opened in the cutoff, Miguel Capriles three-bet to 17,500 on the button, and Sam Grafton cold four-bet to 53,000 in the big blind. Jaffe folded and Capriles raised it up to 150,000. Grafton then moved all-in for 368,000 and Capriles snap-called.

Sam Grafton: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Miguel Capriles: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}

It was a classic cooler, and the board ran out {9-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} to keep Capriles ahead. A count confirmed Grafton was covered and he made his exit from the table, while Capriles soared up the early leaderboard.

Capriles Flops Two Pair

Level 1 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Miguel Capriles opened to 5,500 in early position and Chris Hunichen three-bet to 25,500 in the cutoff. The action folded back to Capriles who called to see a flop of {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}{10-Spades}.

Both players checked the flop and the {4-Clubs} landed on the turn. Capriles led out with a bet of 22,000 and Hunichen called. The {7-Clubs} completed the board and Capriles checked this time. Hunichen splashed in a bet of 65,000 and Capriles snap-called.

Hunichen tabled {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs} for top pair but Capriles rolled over {q-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for two pair to win the pot.

Ren Lin opened to 5,000 in middle position and Alexandros Theologis defended the big blind.

Theologis check-called for 5,000 on the {j-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{3-Hearts} flop and check-called for 15,000 on the {9-Clubs} turn.

The {5-Spades} completed the board and Theologis check-called again, this time for 38,500.

"Lady Gaga," exclaimed Lin as he tabled {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}.

"Lady Gaga is good," Theologis replied as his cards went into the muck.

Elias and Hunichen Put a Hurt on Klein

Level 1 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Bill Klein
Bill Klein

Picking up the action in one hand with a completed board of {q-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{10-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{2-Clubs}, Bill Klein and Darren Elias were heads-up in a pot with nearly 200,000 in the middle already. Klein checked to Elias who used one of his time banks before checking it back.

Klein flipped over {a-}{10-} for two pair but Elias flopped a straight with {k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} to rake in the pot.

On the next hand, David Peters opened to 5,000 in early position and was called by three players. The flop came {a-Hearts}{7-Spades}{7-Clubs} and the action checked to Hunichen in the cutoff who bet 27,000. Klein called from the big blind and the other two players folded.

The turn brought the {k-Diamonds} and Klein shoved all in for his last 90,000 chips. Hunichen called and turned over {7-Hearts}{4-Hearts} which had Klein drawing slim with {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}. The river was the {a-Spades} and Hunichen held on to eliminate Klein in the opening level.
