Rocco Wins a Classic Flip vs Gonzales

Level 4 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Michael Rocco
Michael Rocco

Matthew Gonzales and Michael Rocco got in a preflop raising war which ended up with the two players all in before the flop. Gonzales was the player at risk for a little more than 300,000 chips.

Matthew Gonzales: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Michael Rocco: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

It was a classic coin flip and the flop of {q-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} sent Rocco way in front with a set of queens. The {4-Hearts} on the turn sealed the deal with a full house and Gonzales headed to the rail on the {10-Clubs} river.

Deeb Ousted by Frank

Level 5 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

With roughly 50,000 in the pot on a {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{3-Hearts} flop, Freddy Deeb had gotten his remaining stack of about 35,000 in against Christopher Frank.

Freddy Deeb: {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Christopher Frank: {k-Spades}{10-Spades}

"You're drawing dead to a king," Deeb remarked.

The {a-Clubs} turn gave Frank additional outs, and the {q-Diamonds} spiked the river to improve him to Broadway.

"Or a queen," said Deeb as he made his exit from the table and Frank collected the pot.

Elias Binks a Straight on the River

Level 5 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Stanley Tang raised it up to 13,000 on the button and Darren Elias called from the big blind. The flop came {10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{4-Spades} and Elias check-called a bet of 15,000 from Tang.

The turn was the {6-Hearts} and Elias checked again. Tang sized up to a bet of 52,000 this time and Elias still called. The {8-Spades} completed the board and both players knuckled the table.

Elias flipped over {7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} for a rivered straight which left Tang in shock as he sat with his cards in his hand for about 30 seconds as he studied the board.

Fox Leaves Jaffe on Crumbs

Level 5 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Elio Fox raised to 13,000 in middle position and picked up calls from Jonathan Jaffe, Erik Seidel, and Stephen Chidwick. The dealer spread the flop of {j-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{5-Spades} and the action checked around to the {10-Diamonds} on the turn.

Fox was the first to take a stab at the pot with a bet of 20,000. Jaffe called while Seidel and Chidwick both folded. The {2-Hearts} landed on the river and Fox tossed in a bet of 50,000. Jaffe raised to 140,000 and Fox quickly called, showing {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} for top set to take the pot.
