Peters Catches a Flush on the River

Level 16 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Andrew Lichtenberger opened to 120,000 in the cutoff and David Peters defended from the big blind. The flop came {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{7-Clubs} and Peters check-called a bet of 180,000 from Lichtenberger.

The turn was the {4-Diamonds} and Peters checked again. Lichtenberger threw in another bet of 350,000 and Peters check-raised all in for 1,000,000. Lichtenberger snapped him off and the cards were on their backs.

Peters held {8-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for a straight and flush draw while Lichtenberger was holding strong with {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}. However, the {7-Hearts} on the river gave Peters a flush and he earned a double up.

Just before the blinds went up, David Peters opened to 120,000 under the gun and Shannon Shorr raised to 645,000 in the big blind, leaving himself with a single chip behind. Peters called.

The dealer fanned the {j-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{6-Hearts} flop and Shorr's last chip went into the middle.

Shannon Shorr: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
David Peters: {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

Shorr needed to improve, and did so right away on the {a-Clubs} turn, while the {4-Diamonds} river confirmed his double-up.

Level 15 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

David Peters raised to 130,000 in the cutoff and Andrew Lichtenberger called from the big blind. The flop came {k-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{4-Hearts} and Lichtenberger check-called a bet of 90,000 from Peters.

The turn brought the {5-Spades} and Lichtenberger checked again. Peters slid out a bet of 400,000 this time and Lichtenberger stuck around to see the {k-Diamonds} on the river. Both players checked the river and Lichtenberger showed {6-Clubs}{5-Clubs} which turned out to be the best hand.

Aldemir Doubles Through Smith

Level 15 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Koray Aldemir shoved all in for 445,000 in middle position and it folded around to Dan Smith who called from the big blind.

Koray Aldemir: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
Dan Smith: {3-Spades}{3-Hearts}

It was a coin flip and the flop of {j-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{4-Spades} left it that way as Aldemir picked up a flush draw. The {6-Clubs} paired the board on the turn which gave Aldemir even more outs and the {a-Hearts} on the river was one of them.

Shaun Deeb shipped all in for around 750,000 in the hijack. The action folded to Eelis Parssinen in the big blind who gave it some thought before making the call, barely having Deeb covered.

Shaun Deeb: {k-Spades}{10-Spades}
Eelis Parssinen: {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts}

The flop of {8-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{5-Clubs} favored Parssinen who picked up a straight and flush draw to go with the best hand. The {4-Spades} on the turn gave him a straight and Deeb was left drawing dead to the {4-Clubs} on the river.
