Michael Lipner Eliminated in 17th Place ($5,553)

Level 25 : 30,000/60,000, 0 ante
Michael Lipner
Michael Lipner

Kenny Hsiung raised in early position and Michael Lipner three-bet in the cutoff. The action folded back to Hsiung as he put in the four-bet and Lipner called off his stack of 120,000 total.

"I got it," Hsiung said before the cards were tabled.

Michael Lipner: {j-Clubs}{j-Spades}
Kenny Hsiung: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}

It was a classic flip until the flop came {k-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}.

"I told you I got it," repeated Hsiung.

The {7-Diamonds} turn and {8-Clubs} river were no help for Lipner as he left the tournament in 17th place for $5,553.

The board ran out {4-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}. Tayi had paired his eight on the flop, but McKeehen had taken the lead on the turn with a pair of kings. Pedro Rios raised in the hijack and Michael Lipner three-bet the cutoff before Scott Pollard four-bet in the small blind. Both Rios and Lipner called.

The flop came {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{2-Spades} and Pollard jammed for his last 15,000 and Rios completed to 30,000 before Lipner called, creating a side pot.

The {2-Hearts} landed on the turn and Rios continued to bet, forcing Lipner out of the hand.

Scott Pollard: {k-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
Pedro Rios: {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts}

Dave Tobin was all in before the flop and up against Kenny Hsiung.

Dave Tobin: {2-Spades}{2-Diamonds}
Kenny Hsiung: {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}

"That's a good flop for deuces," Joe McKeehen said as the dealer turned over {3-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}, followed by the {5-Spades} on the turn. The river came the {q-Clubs} and the dealer prepared to award the pot to Tobin before the table pointed out that Hsiung had made a flush.

Tobin, a cigar dangling from his mouth, wished the table luck before heading off to collect his 21st-place payout for the second consecutive year.

Moncek Smash's River to Leave Linchesky Short

Level 24 : 25,000/50,000, 0 ante
Michael Moncek
Michael Moncek

Robert Linchesky raised on the button and both Ben Ross and Michael Moncek called in the blinds.

On the {j-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{5-Spades} flop, Ross and Moncek checked to Linchesky who bet. Ross called and Moncek put in a three-bet. Linchesky four-bet and Ross got out of the way before Moncek capped it and Linchesky called.

The {j-Clubs} peeled on the turn and Moncek snap-bet. Linchesky went into the tank.

"Did you really just hit a two-outer on me?"

After a little more deliberation Linchesky raised and Moncek called off his stack of 90,000 total.

Michael Moncek: {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}
Robert Linchesky: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

Linchesky was ahead with his pocket kings but the {a-Hearts} on the river completed Moncek's flush draw and left him with only 10,000 in chips.

"Two pair," Garzon said, turning over {a-Spades}{q-Spades}. Tayi mucked while Hammer flashed {a-Clubs}{3-Hearts} before making his way to the payout desk.

Kenny Hsiung: {j-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}

Timothy West Eliminated in 24th Place ($4,629)

Level 24 : 25,000/50,000, 0 ante
Timothy West
Timothy West

Timothy West raised on the button with his short stack and took down the blinds. He was disappointed as he tabled {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}.

The following hand, West raised again, this time in the cutoff and both Lee Markholt and Christoph Kwon called in the blinds.

The dealer spread a flop of {9-Clubs}{9-Spades}{5-Clubs}, and Markholt led out with a bet, Kwon quickly folded and West raised. Markholt took some time thinking about his options as he said, "I could have some outs." Before putting in another raise which was enough for West to be all-in when he called.

Timothy West: {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs}
Lee Markholt: {a-Hearts}{8-Clubs}

West had a flush draw but was still behind Markholt's kicker on the ace. The turn brought the {10-Hearts} as West pleaded, "King!, Queen!", asking just for a chop pot but the {2-Diamonds} fell on the river for his six-kicker to be no good. West collected $4,629 for his 24th place finish.
