Timothy West raised pre-flop and received a call from Wendy Freedman in the big blind.

The flop came {q-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{8-Spades} and Freedman raised all in after West bet. West called.

Wendy Freedman: {10-Hearts}{8-Clubs}
Timothy West: {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}

Freedman had a pair of eights, but West had her beat with a pair of queens. The board ran out {a-Spades}{4-Spades} and West's pair stayed in front.

"Nice playing with you guys," Freedman said as she made her way to the exit.

Dennis Kim Eliminated in 27th Place ($3,931)

Level 23 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante
Dennis Kim
Dennis Kim

David Gee raised under the gun and Lee Markholt three-bet in the cutoff. Dennis Kim put in the fourth bet before Gee called and Markholt capped it with a five-bet. Kim called off 5,000 short and Gee called.

The dealer fanned a flop of {k-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and Gee check-called a bet.

The {6-Diamonds} hit the turn and Gee check-called another bet from Markholt.

The {4-Hearts} landed on the river completing the board and Gee checked to Markholt who fired another bet. Gee paused for a moment before sigh-folding.

Markholt tabled {a-Spades}{k-Spades} for top pair on the flop while Dennis Kim showed {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}. Gee quickly reached into the muck and tabled that he had {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs} as well. Kim was eliminated in 27th place for $3,931.

Lee Markholt raised pre-flop before Mike Picardi re-raised on the button. In the big blind, David Gee moved all in and both players called.

The flop came {3-Spades}{a-Spades}{9-Diamonds} and Markholt checked. Picardi bet and Markholt raised enough to put him all in. Picardi called.

David Gee: {5-Hearts}{4-Hearts}
Mike Picardi: {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}
Lee Markholt: {9-Spades}{8-Hearts}

Picardi was ahead with his pair of aces against Markholt's nines and Gee's straight draw. The {3-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} turn and river gave Picardi the double up through Markholt and the bust out of Gee in 26th place.

At the same time as David Gee's elimination, Roy Sanam was all in on the other table.

According to his former tablemates, Sanam flopped a set of deuces on the {5-}{3-}{2-} and was up against the aces of Ben Ross and the sixes of Steven Wolansky. The turn came a {4-}, giving both Ross and Wolansky a straight, and Sanam failed to pair up on the river to make a full house.

Wolansky won the pot with his six-high straight and Sanam was knocked out in 25th place.

Timothy West

Timothy West raised on the button with his short stack and took down the blinds. He was disappointed as he tabled {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}.

The following hand, West raised again, this time in the cutoff and both Lee Markholt and Christoph Kwon called in the blinds.

The dealer spread a flop of {9-Clubs}{9-Spades}{5-Clubs}, and Markholt led out with a bet, Kwon quickly folded and West raised. Markholt took some time thinking about his options as he said, "I could have some outs." Before putting in another raise which was enough for West to be all-in when he called.

Timothy West: {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs}
Lee Markholt: {a-Hearts}{8-Clubs}

West had a flush draw but was still behind Markholt's kicker on the ace. The turn brought the {10-Hearts} as West pleaded, "King!, Queen!", asking just for a chop pot but the {2-Diamonds} fell on the river for his six-kicker to be no good. West collected $4,629 for his 24th place finish.

Markholt led out on the {j-Spades}{6-Hearts}{8-Spades} flop and both opponents called. The turn came the {3-Clubs} and Markholt bet again.

Kwon called, then Taonus put his last 40,000 in the middle. The river came the {7-Diamonds} and Kwon called another bet from Markholt, creating a side pot.

Markholt showed {j-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} for a pair of jacks. Kwon mucked and Taonus got up to leave before the dealer turned over his {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}.

James Hammer was knocked down to 50,000 after losing that pot to Dave Tobin and shoved all in. Francisco Garzon re-raised and Venkata Tayi called.

Tayi check-called bets on the flop and turn as the board came {9-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{4-Clubs}. Both players checked the {7-Spades} river.

Moncek Smash's River to Leave Linchesky Short

Level 24 : 25,000/50,000, 0 ante
Michael Moncek
Michael Moncek

Robert Linchesky raised on the button and both Ben Ross and Michael Moncek called in the blinds.

On the {j-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{5-Spades} flop, Ross and Moncek checked to Linchesky who bet. Ross called and Moncek put in a three-bet. Linchesky four-bet and Ross got out of the way before Moncek capped it and Linchesky called.

The {j-Clubs} peeled on the turn and Moncek snap-bet. Linchesky went into the tank.

"Did you really just hit a two-outer on me?"

After a little more deliberation Linchesky raised and Moncek called off his stack of 90,000 total.

Michael Moncek: {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}
Robert Linchesky: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

Linchesky was ahead with his pocket kings but the {a-Hearts} on the river completed Moncek's flush draw and left him with only 10,000 in chips.

Dave Tobin was all in before the flop and up against Kenny Hsiung.

Dave Tobin: {2-Spades}{2-Diamonds}
Kenny Hsiung: {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}

"That's a good flop for deuces," Joe McKeehen said as the dealer turned over {3-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}, followed by the {5-Spades} on the turn. The river came the {q-Clubs} and the dealer prepared to award the pot to Tobin before the table pointed out that Hsiung had made a flush.

Tobin, a cigar dangling from his mouth, wished the table luck before heading off to collect his 21st-place payout for the second consecutive year.
