The five cards on the felt were {q-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}, and the big blind checked it to Chance Kornuth in the cutoff.

Kornuth pushed the remainder of his 19,000 stack in the middle, and his opponent took a few moments to consider.

With a pot of about 50,000, Kornuth showed nothing but a faint smile and that grin grew even bigger when the big blind finally called.

Kornuth casually turned over {7-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for the full house, and his opponent tapped the table before mucking and doubling up the two-time bracelet winner.

Pham Gets Near Double Up

Level 7 : 400/800, 800 ante
David Pham
David Pham

David Pham was in the big blind looking at a pot of 6,500, and a flop of {2-Spades}{j-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}. He checked to a player under the gun, who bet 4,000. Pham called.

The turn was the {j-Spades}, and Pham checked again. His opponent slowed down and followed suit.

When the river {8-Clubs} appeared, Pham led out for most of his stack, another 12,500. The under-the-gun opposition paused for a few moments, then called.

Pham threw over {j-Diamonds}{k-Spades} for trip jacks, and the player to his left mucked and pushed the chips towards "The Dragon".

Stacy Gets Tripled Up

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

With action raised from the hijack to 2,200 and called from the cutoff, Ken Stacy took the opportunity to move all in for 8,700.

He was called by both players, with the blinds folding.

Action stopped from there as both players checked through all three streets, and there was a three-way showing on a board reading {7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{3-Clubs}.

Ken Stacy: {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Hijack: {k-Diamonds}{j-Spades}
Cutoff: {8-Clubs}{9-Clubs}

Despite only holding ace high, everybody had missed and so Stacy's hand held up. He scooped a large pot and got a much needed injection to his stack.

Elsewhere, Faraz Jaka has been steadily chipping up.

Bogard Calls Big Bluff

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Action was picked up with 20,000 in the pot on a board of {9-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{8-Spades}, and two players were heads up.

Bart Bogard was in the cutoff facing a 15,000 bet from the big blind on a very wet board.

Bogard stared his opponent down for 30 seconds before tossing in three red 5,000 chips.

"Nice call," said the big blind, folding his cards face down in the muck.

Bogard showed {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} for top two pair, which was good for the win.
