The 2022 World Series of Poker at Bally's and Paris Las Vegas is very excited for the start of Day 3 of Event #16: $3,000 No-Limit Hold’em. The field is so full of notable players, that even Jeff Platt may have to commentate on himself if he reaches the final table. The popular announcer has bagged the last two days of the tournament, and returns for Day 3 with more than 40 big blinds (790,000).

He will be joined by players outside of the top ten like JJ Liu (245,000) and Kitty Kuo (650,000), and everybody will be after the first place prize of $558,616 and the elusive gold bracelet.

The field of 1,240 entries created a prize pool of $2,469,750 and of those, only 75 remain and everyone is in the money, guaranteed at least $7,660. Today the action will begin at 12 p.m. local time with Level 21 and blinds of 10,000/20,000 with 20,000 big blind ante. Levels are 60-minutes long and players will get a 15-minute break after every two. Dinner break will come about 6:30 p.m. after Level 26 and play will continue tonight until only five remain. Those five will return for Day 4 at a time yet to be determined, on Saturday, June 11th, for a feature-table finale.

Below are the top ten in chips to start the day, but with a field so filled with big names and crushers, don't count anyone out of the running yet.

Liu Doubles Through Chen

Chi Chen looked to have raised from the cutoff for JJ Liu to three-bet shove for 225,000 from the small blind. The big blind got out of their way and Chen called.

JJ Liu: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Chi Chen: {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}

The board ran out {2-Clubs}{3-Spades}{2-Spades}{7-Spades}{6-Hearts} for Liu to hold with the higher pocket pair for the better two pair to double up.

Liu All In First Hand

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Alexandros Theologis
Alexandros Theologis

Qing Liu bet 55,000 in middle position, only to be raised another 100,000 by Alexandros Theologis on the button. Liu went all in and Theologis called.

Qing Liu: {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}
Alexandros Theologis: {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

They were flipping, and after the flop of {5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}, Theologis' two pair with pocket jacks was still best.

An {8-Clubs} kept him safe, especially with more backdoor outs he didn't need.

It would be the {a-Clubs} that gave Liu a brief moment of excitement, but it was his paired ace that also made Theologis a flush and Liu was eliminated.

Duta Downs Moore

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Shawn Moore was all in for his last 35,000 from under the gun and the action folded to Florian Duta in the big blind who made the call.

Shawn Moore: {a-Clubs}{3-Spades}
Florian Duta: {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}

The flop came {2-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{4-Hearts} for Moore to pick up the draw to a wheel but Duta had the flush draw.

"A five but not the hearts," Moore requested.

The turn was the {j-Spades} which kept Moore ahead with the higher kicker but the river completed the board with the {5-Hearts} for him to hit his wheel but for Duta to also hit the flush to bust Moore.

Parys Traps Kuo

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Action was picked up after {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and Maxime Parys in the small blind checked it to Kitty Kuo, who bet 85,000.

Parys called, and they were heads up to the last card.

The river was the {3-Spades}, and Parys checked again to Kuo. She thought for less than a minute before announcing all in, which Parys was ready for, and he nearly beat her in the pot.

Kuo was holding {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} for top two pair, but Parys had been trapping with {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}. After flopping top set, he had made a full house on the river and doubled up in the first level of Day 3.

Boas Busts Song

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Toby Boas looked to have min-raised from the small blind for Stephen Song to three-bet jam for around 560,000 from the big blind. Boas snap-called with the bigger stack.

Stephen Song: {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Toby Boas: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}

The board ran out {q-Hearts}{2-Spades}{7-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{5-Spades} to not help Song with the lower pocket pair and he was eliminated.
