Aldemir Makes Full House

Level 2 : 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante
Koray Aldemir
Koray Aldemir

Jeremy Ausmus made it 8,000 to go in the cutoff, and Koray Aldemir called from middle position.

With a flop of {k-Spades}{6-Clubs}{4-Clubs}, Aldemir was first to act and checked his option. Ausmus led out for 8,000, and Aldemir thought for a moment before re-raising to 24,000. Ausmus called.

The {7-Clubs} hit the board, and both players checked to see the river.

When the {k-Spades} found the felt, Aldemir raised to 60,000. Elias threw in a single green chip for the call, and Aldemir turned over {4-Diamonds}{4-Spades} for a full house. Elias mucked his hand without showing and Aldemir added to his stack.

Negreanu Takes From Brewer

Level 2 : 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante

Chris Brewer has been off to a hot start to the day, adding a couple hundred thousand to his stack, but a recent pot with Daniel Negreanu cut into it a bit.

With approximately 60,000 in the pot on a board of {q-Spades}{7-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{6-Spades}, Brewer checked from the big blind to Negreanu who put out a roughly pot-sized bet. Brewer called.

On the {8-Diamonds} river, Brewer checked again and this time faced a 125,000-chip bet from Negreanu. Brewer quickly folded, awarding the pot to Negreanu.

Mateos Forces a Fold with Big Overbet

Level 2 : 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante
Adrian Mateos
Adrian Mateos

On a board reading {3-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} and 115,000 in the middle, Chance Kornuth checked from middle position to Adrian Mateos on the button.

Mateos proceeded to put out an overbet of 450,000, to the seeming chagrin of Kornuth. After about 30 seconds, Kornuth, with a slight sigh, tossed his hand into the muck.

Kornuth and Brewer Take it to the River

Level 1 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Chance Kornuth raised to 5,000 from middle position and Chris Brewer called from the big blind.

The flop was {10-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} and both players checked. When the {5-Diamonds} came on the turn, both players checked again.

Brewer bet 2,000 when the {6-Clubs} came on the river, and Kornuth raised to 10,000. Brewer let it go, and Kornuth raked in the pot.

Reigning WSOP Main Event Champion Wins a Small One

Level 1 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Darren Elias opened in early position to 5,000 and action folded around to Koray Aldemir in the big blind, who opted to defend.

On a flop of {3-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{j-Spades}, Aldemir checked and faced a continuation-bet of 4,000 from Elias. After a brief pause, Aldemir called.

The {10-Clubs} hit the turn and both players checked to see the {3-Spades} river. Aldemir checked for the third time and, after some consideration, Elias appeared to give up on the hand and checked behind.

Aldemir showed {q-Clubs}{6-Clubs} for top pair, which was good enough to rake in the small pot early on.
