Gross Spikes Two Pair on the River, Gets River Raise Called

Level 6 : 400/800, 800 ante

With 26,000 already in the middle on a {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{2-Clubs}, both the hijack and Steve Gross checked from the cutoff.

On the {q-Diamonds} river, the hijack bet out for 7,500 and Gross raised to 32,500. After about 30 seconds, the hijack called and was shown some bad news as Gross rivered two pair {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}.

Gross is now above the 200,000-chip mark.

Nguyen Catches Up

Level 6 : 400/800, 800 ante
Thi Xoa Nguyen
Thi Xoa Nguyen

On a board of {a-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}, Thi Xoa Nguyen was facing a bet of 25,000 when she moved the rest of her last 35,000 chips. Her opponent called off and he was the player at risk.

Opponent: {j-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}
Thi Xoa Nguyen: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}

It was a bit of a cold deck situation for Nguyen and she was needing to catch up, luckily for her the {5-Hearts} fell on the river to turn her trips into a full-house to trump the flush.

Level 5 : 300/600, 600 ante
Uri Reichenstein
Uri Reichenstein

Uri Reichenstein, who is coming off an incredible 2021 WSOP that included 11 cashes and three top-four finishes, was involved in a doozy of a hand mid-way through Day 1b.

With 30,000 already in the middle on a {a-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{7-Spades} board, Reichenstein moved all-in for his opponent's last 22,000.

The player in the small blind called with {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} but was soundly beaten by the Israeli's {2-Spades}{2-Diamonds} for bottom set.

Yabuuchi Gets Paid With The Set

Level 5 : 300/600, 600 ante

On a turn of {6-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}, with 11,000 in the pot, Katsuma Yabuuchi shoved all-in vs a 9,000 chip bet for 59,000. His opponent thought for a couple of minutes at least, before ultimately calling off.

Opponent: {8-Hearts}{8-Spades}
Katsuma Yabuuchi: {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}

The {j-Clubs} changed nothing and Yabuuchi doubling through his opponent. His friend and prolific Japanese poker vlogger ''Yokosuwa'' just busted on the table next to him and offered his good lucks to his fellow compatriot.

Kono Scores Knockout with Ace-King

Level 5 : 300/600, 600 ante

Reiji Kono and his opponent got all-in for a pot of about 60,000 chips.

Opponent: {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}
Reiji Kono: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

Kono had his opponent dominated and held on the {2-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} board to send his stack soaring well above the 100,000-chip plateau.

Velasco Bluffs to Win the Weirdest Pot You'll See Today

Level 4 : 300/500, 500 ante

Buckle up. Chris Dasilva opened under the gun to 1,100. Ricardo Velasco, in early position, min-clicked to 1,700, and the cutoff called.

Then, the small blind accidentally misclicked to 2,300 and Dasilva called the 2,300. After that, Velasco re-raised once more, this time to 7,000.

While the cutoff folded, the small blind and Dasilva both called and they, finally, headed to a three-way flop.

The flop came {k-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{3-Spades} and Velasco continuation-bet to 14,500, drawing quick folds from Dasilva and the small blind.

To finish off the action, Velasco showed the {q-Spades}{j-Hearts} bluff, drawing oohs and ahhs from around the table mixed in with a whole lot of laughter.

Drobes Gets Dentale Off Two Pair

Level 4 : 300/500, 500 ante

On the {5-Spades}{a-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} runout, Scott Drobes fired out a pot-sized bet of 26,300 from the hijack.

Mike Dentale winced and looked to be in pain over having to make a decision, spending over two minutes in the tank.

Eventually, he laid down his {a-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} having flopped two pair. While Drobes wouldn't show his cards, he promised to tell him after they moved tables, which heavily convinced Dentale that he folded the best hand.
