Vampan Starts as Chip Leader for Event #23: $3,000 Limit Hold’em 6 Handed Day 2

Welcome to Day 2 of Event #23: $3,000 Limit Hold’em 6 Handed. After 10 levels of play yesterday and a starting field of 213 entries, there are currently 93 players remaining who will be battling it out to make it into tomorrow's Day 3 where a champion will be crowned. Play will resume today at 2:00 p.m. local time in Bally’s.

The total prize pool of this event is $568,710 and the first place finish will receive $142,147 and a coveted gold WSOP bracelet.

The title of chip leader at the end of Day 1 went to Daniel Vampan from West Hills, California with a stack of 217,500. Vampan has cashed in many previous events with his top finish in a WSOP event for 69th place in the 2018 $1,500 No-Limit Hold’em MILLIONAIRE MAKER for $14,944.

Rounding out the top five chip stacks behind Vampan were Phuong Nguyen (210,000), Ruiko Mamiya (207,000), Bin Duan (193,000) and Joao Vieira (176,000).
