Kevin Song Among Final Ten Players Locked in to Play for a Gold Bracelet in Event #27: $1,500 Shootout
When play started yesterday in Event #27: $1,500 Shootout No-Limit Hold'em, 1,000 players had hopes of winning a prestigious gold bracelet in the only shootout format offered at the World Series of Poker at Bally's and Paris Las Vegas this Summer. Now, after two full days of play, only ten players remain as the final table is set for tomorrow.
Kevin Song was one of the first players to lock his seat up today. He amassed a large stack early on and never ran into trouble until he began heads-up play. Patrick Leonard gave him plenty of trouble, chipping away at Song's chip stack and hanging around for some time.
Eventually, Song finished the job and will return tomorrow to try and do the same. Song seeks his second gold bracelet with only nine players standing in his way.

A true comeback story, Timothy McDermott was down to a single 5,000 chip during Day 1 play. Now, he finds himself at the final table. He will look to complete his own "chip and the chair" story tomorrow.
Play will pick back up Wednesday, June 15th at 12 p.m. PDT inside Bally's Event Center. Players will start at 15,000-30,000-30,000 blinds with 15-minute breaks every three levels.
