Adam's Aces Hold for Double Up

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Alfie Adams put in a raise from the cutoff to 42,000. Ryan Andrade reraised to 80,000. Adams jammed with the effective stack of 161,000 and Andrade made the snap call.

Alfie Adams: {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}
Ryan Andrade: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}

Adams was in great position to double up, and nothing came on the {8-Spades}{2-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{10-Hearts} board to change that, as Adams scooped the pot and doubled up.

Matthew Moore
Matthew Moore

Maria Konnikova opened from the hijack and was immediately three-bet by Matthew Moore in the cutoff. On his left, Trace Henderson four-bet jammed all in for about 180,000. Konnikova folded and Moore called.

Matthew Moore: {a-}{a-}
Trace Henderson: {a-}{j-}

The board ran out {j-}{k-}{2-}{3-}{4-} and Moore's aces held up while Henderson was eliminated.

Some details of the hand were provided courtesy of Moore.

Renard Has all the Sevens

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Action picked up on the turn in a heads-up pot with about 60,000 in the middle. The board showed {7-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{3-Hearts}.

Thibault Renard bet 12,000 from the botton. From the small blind, Karol Bogusz check-raised to 37,000. Staring his opponent down, Renard made the call.

On the river {2-Spades}, Bogusz now bet 50,000, about half of Renard's stack. Renard thought for about a minute before moving all in for 108,000.

Bogusz began to talk through the hand and couldn't figure out just what his opponent had.

"I call," Bogusz eventually said.

Renard tabled {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} for flopped quads and took down the important pot.

Liu's Kings Hold to Scoop Big Pot

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
JJ Liu
JJ Liu

JJ Liu opened the action from under the gun for 13,000. John Strawser raised to 23,000 from early position. Action folded back around to Liu who made the call.

Strawser continued for 40,000 on the {3-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} flop. Liu made the call.

On the {6-Clubs} turn, Strawser fired another barrel, this time for 60,000. Liu found the call again.

On the {9-Hearts} river it was Liu who was the aggressor, with a bet of 85,000. Strawser thought for a minute or two, before making the call. He turned over {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts} as Liu turned over {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}. Neither player had connected with any part of the board, meaning Liu's kings were still good.

Griffeth's Top Pair Takes Pot

Level 14 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Roongsak Griffeth opened from under the gun for 13,000. Maria Konnikova raised to 35,000. After a bit of thought, Griffeth put in the call and the two went heads-up to the flop.

Konnikova fired another 20,000 at the {q-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{7-Diamonds} flop, getting a quick call from Griffeth.

The {2-Spades} turn was checked through before Griffeth fired for 50,000 on the {4-Hearts} river. Konnikova made the call and Griffeth turned over {q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}. His top pair proved good enough, as Konnikova mucked her hand, giving the pot to Griffeth to add to his growing chipstack.

Karol Bogusz
Karol Bogusz

Action picked up on the turn with a board of {3-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}. Shawn Wilmot bet 53,000 into a pot of about 90,000. Only Karol Bogusz made the call in position.

The {k-Clubs} was the river card and Wilmot fired a final bullet, going all in for the 86,000 effective in Bogusz's stack. After thinking for about two minutes, Bogusz made the call.

Wilmot showed {5-Spades}{7-Clubs} but Bogusz called with the {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts} to get the full double.

Kevin Song

With 85,000 in the middle, Tom Schneider bet 60,000 from the button with the board reading {q-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}. Kevin Song made the call from the small blind and a middle position player folded.

Schnieder didn't think long before folding and Song added more to his big stack.
