Newton Doubles Big Off McGowan

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 45,000 ante
Thomas Newton
Thomas Newton

Thomas Newton raised to 65,000 from the button before Jonathan McGowan three-bet to 300,000 in the small blind. Newton then announced he was all in for around 750,000, and McGowan called.

McGowan drew one while Newton patted with {10-}{9-}{8-}{6-}{3-}. McGowan was showing {7-}{5-}{4-}{2-}.

"None across," McGowan said as he peeled his last card. "None across spade," he added hopefully, but he flipped over the {2-Spades} to pair his deuce and send the massive pot to Newton.

Kenneth Po
Kenneth Po

Kenneth Po had dropped back down to 240,000 and shoved all in from under the gun. Yuri Dzivielevski called in the big blind.

Po stood pat with {j-}{9-}{4-}{3-}{2-}, while Dzivielevski turned over {9-}{5-}{4-}{2-} and took one. He flipped over a queen on the draw and Po stayed alive.

A few hands later, Po shoved all in again, this time for 400,000 in the small blind as Maxx Coleman called in the big blind.

Both players stood pat and Po's nine-eight was enough to beat Coleman's ten.

Israelashvili Takes From Coleman; Dealer Among the Best

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 75,000 ante
Roland Israelashvili
Roland Israelashvili

WSOP veteran dealer Tyger was sending the cards around the table when Yuri Dzivielevski made an observation.

"You are the fastest dealer I have seen at the WSOP," the Brazilian player mentioned. Others at the table agreed and pointed out that it's a great skill for this game in particular.

"He's done now! You jinxed it!" Roland Israelashvili interrupted. "Now he's going to screw up!"

The table laughed while Tyger smiled and Maxx Coleman raised to 125,000 from the cutoff. Israelashvili called and both players drew one.

Israelashvili fired 175,000 after the draw and turned over {8-}{7-}{5-}{3-}{2-} when Coleman called. Coleman shook his head and tossed the losing hand in the muck while Israelashvili stacked up the pot.
