Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier Eliminated

Level 14
Bertrand 'ElkY' Grospellier
Bertrand 'ElkY' Grospellier

Action folded to Farzad Bonyadi in the cutoff who opened and was called by Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier out of the big blind.

On the first draw Grospellier took two cards to Bonyadi's one. Grospellier then checked to Bonyadi, who continued and was called.

The second draw saw both players take just one card. This time Grospellier led out and was raised. He made the call to send the two players to the final draw.

Neither player took a card during the final draw. Grospellier check-called a bet from Bonyadi, who tabled a wheel to leave Grospellier with just 15,000.

A few hands later Grospellier was all in prior to the first draw and was up against Jon Shoreman and Eric Wasserson. Shoreman folded after the second draw and Wasserson, forgetting that Grospellier still had a draw left, tabled a wheel. Grospellier, shaking his head, discarded two and turned over {7-}{4-}{3-}, leaving him drawing extremely thin. He peeled one of his new cards and, without revealing what it was, tossed his hand into the muck and made a hasty exit.

Phil Hellmuth

Phil Hellmuth defended his big blind from a Jon Turner open.

Both players drew two and Hellmuth check-called a bet.

"Is it too greedy to ask for a wheel card?" pondered Hellmuth. "You don't believe I'm drawing to a wheel anyway."

Both players drew one and checked. Both players drew one again and Hellmuth check-called a bet.

"Threes," said Hellmuth. Turner tabled {8-}{8-} and Hellmuth won with {3-}{3-}{7-}{5-}{4-}

Two Doubles for Zack

Level 14
Dan Zack
Dan Zack

Dan Zack was all in on the second draw against William O'Neil. Both players drew two and then Zack drew one while O'Neil stood pat on the final draw.

O'Neil tabled {9-}{5-}{4-}{3-}{2-} and Zack tabled {8-}{6-}{5-}{2-} and was drawing live. He sweated his cards and suddenly announced "I win."

The reason was, he had peeled a no-spotted diamond, and with O'Neil holding the {2-Diamonds} he knew he hadn't paired and was safe. He had indeed drawn the {3-Diamonds} and doubled up.

On the next hand he got his remaining chips in against Shaun Deeb after both he and Deeb had drawn two on the first draw. Both players drew one on the second draw and then Zack stood pat on the third draw while Deeb drew one.

Zack had made an {8-}{6-}{5-}{4-}{3-} with Deeb live with {8-}{6-}{4-}{2-}

"You win," said Deeb flicking over a {2-}

"There's no one I'd believe less when they say 'You win' than you," replied Zack jokingly.
